I'm excited about the Elite Z Comets -- Do they fly just like the previous runs of Z Comets?

For me, the Z Forces are MUCH more overstable than the ESPs. Haven't tried the other molds in their new blends yet.
Just in case anyone is wondering....(Hawk)....The DGA Shockwave is produced from Discraft's Torque mold.

My_Hero what are the odds of Discraft ever coming out with the Spectra in lets say esp, esp flx or Z without the full color stamp? These discs flat out fly but the full color stamp makes the tops slick. Hard to get a good grip. Especially in cold weather.

I'm happy to report that all the new Discraft Z discs are made of SWEET plastic. Quite stiff (nothing like earlier Z forces) yet still grippy. The colors looked spectacular as well and the new stamp is nice (it helps years later when your looking for a particular run). I'm hoping D's romance with FLXy plastic has taken a back seat to the rigid Z we have all come to know and love over the years...

My_Hero,
I was wondering if Discraft has any plans to add a "wider" rimmed driver to their line-up? (a la Boss) Don't get me wrong I love Discraft and their line up, but it seems like it would be in their, and their consumers, best intrest to have something "comparable" to the Rim Thickness/Speed of these wider rimmed drivers. (Given that the RT of the Boss is 2.5 cm while the Force is only 2.3 cm) |

Huh, wow. I always thought it was impossible to run them for weight reasons or something along those lines.

Hey kids, the rumor is true. We're hoping that the Discraft Elite Z Drones ship by the end of the week...by the way it's Sun King, not Sunking...lol

The new tech limit is 2.6 so maybe they want to make more discs before jumping up so close to the limit. Also because of the weight they may have to find ways to keep the discs under 175. Inoova is taking chunks out of their discs to do this and maybe Discraft has other ideas.

Matt, welcome back my_little_partner_in_crime!
Mace, i thought you were my good friend Mace(#7477 pdga financial supporter, pdga promoter, and pdga td ) just messing with me. Matt pretty much nailed the answer though.

Has anyone compared the new Z Force with the sparkle Z one?
Also, just wanted to say that I think Discraft has enough mids now, so... Maybe this year's Ace Race disc could be a putter? There definitely aren't enough Discraft putters to choose from for someone that likes throwing putters up to 250. Perhaps something a little less stable than a Challenger? You could save yourself mold manufacturing costs and just run a ESP APX! Discraft does DEFINITELY need a less stable high-speed driver, and the Spectra is just weird.

Allow me to clarify; high-speed=wide-rimmed. I'm thinking more along the lines of a Force SS.
I currently throw a Z-XS, Z-Wildcat and a Z-Avenger. Those are in my "up to 350" range. I want something in my "up to 425" range that isn't made by the other guys.

What about the more stable SS Avengers? I have a few they fly really far but dont dump like a typical SS Avenger! I guess finding these might be a bit of a problem! Maybe a Z SS Avenger

What about the Force in lighter colors that people claim are less stable I have not thrown but variations in the mold may be what you are looking for!

Tafe, What's up my fellow Veterans Day B-day boy? Have you tried the Surge SS? Pretty wide rimmed, and much less stable than the regular Surge, especially at high speed.
