cheap D plastic or not, man that zone feels great and has a super clean release. 100% predictable too.
As soon as I get a chance I'm sure I'll check one out. Sounds like something I might have a use for. I've still not found a midrange more overstable than the Buzzz that I've felt was worth keeping in the bag.

I had a chance to throw the Pro D Zone yesterday for a few holes. It is definitely a +2 on the stability area. It feels like a mix of a small diameter buzzz with a shallower rim and thicker flight plate. I threw it for shots that were around 200 and in. I don't know if this disc will ever see the light of day in regards to full production, only because I think it mimicks the drone too closely. I would say it is a notch slower than the drone too. An ESP or Z version would be sick though.

According to the Z-Flick's web page it is still available.
Can't find a Vendor, online or off, who still has 150-Z-Flicks in stock.

I got ahold of a Zone yesterday. As I feared, it was the same super grippy but chunkable pro D plastic as my putters. This disc is a little less conventional that I imagined. It is small and the shallowest midrange rim-wise I've felt. I wasn't all that impressed with the flight as this disc didn't really do anything special for me. I could see this disc being useful to people who really like the grip which was a bit to shallow for my tastes (i only throw the Buzzz and Meteor).

What about the SS Avenger? I think he might have a couple of back up discs for that flash

Yea yea yea. My flash is in the pond at BC! While i have lost a disc or 2 in the creek on holes 15 and 16 recently, it's been 5 years or more since one was lost in the pond. Can't say that anymore.

Yes, when visiting out of town relatives i like to show up to other leagues/minis with 4-5 discs in a supermarket sack while wearing a painters cap. Works everytime.

Hero,

Given your recent tendency to empty your bag into a creek, I think it would be best if you mailed me all of your swirls and Z-Xtremes so I can ensure their safety.

Ha! I know that you've heard the expression "safety in numbers." With your growing family and shrinking closet space i'm pretty sure that you would neglect housing the 50+ Swirls and 20+ Z-Xtremes properly.

they are closer to a rhyno than anything else they make, not quite as blunt of a rim as a rhyno, but nice a stable and definitely a smaller profile like the rhyno. and yes i have been thru Hickraw

Default Z Venom

I'm pretty sure it's not, but are the Z Venoms that they ran a few of PDGA approved? I recently got one, but was unsure about whether or not I should throw it.

Do discs have to be approved in each plastic type before becoming PDGA legal?

They are approaved. Once a mold is approved, its approved in all plastics. Most, if not all, Z Venoms are illegal because they were over weight.

John is my soft magnet going to hit the chains and stay there this weekend when I putt with it? Or should I resort to Mr. Pre-Patented Purple Magnet that is new but 15+ years old?

Default ESP Avenger SS 1.7

Are the Avenger SS supposed to have a stability rating of .5? I got a ESP Avenger SS this pass weekend that is marked as a 1.7 and I just wondered if it was a typo or if anyone knew anything about these?
