yeah, but ask anyone that throws Buzzzes, the first run is not a Buzzz. The 1st Runs are super sought after greatest-flying-disc-in-the-world Buzzzes. there IS a difference.

That has always been the case for d-plastic. I prefer Z or ESP for drivers and midrange for this reason mainly (not for putters of course)...

The blend of plastic mostly. The taffy plastic the true first runs were ran in was still stiff they were dead straight almost no left to right. 2nd runs tend to have a little more stablility at the end of there flight and tend to be a little softer to the touch

and what the difference in what you are calling true first run buzzzes and what I have then? I thought if you have a buzzz and it says WASP inside the rim then its a first run (unless it was part of the 2nd first runs of course)

So in short, you have a buzzz that was produced from the 1st mold but it was produced several runs later.

gotcha... yeah i knew about the WASP/BUZZZ thing inside the rim
and as far as flight/etc is there any difference between my buzzz and a true first run then? and are the true first runs the ones that have the buzzz stamp on the top that looks similar to the 2nd first runs? |

Are these challengers loosening up with use, or are they staying real stiff?

dgdave, I've got white yellow and orange D challengers, and the white seems to be the softest to me, but the orange and yellow seem a little stiffer, but not really by a lot. i'm comparing when they're new and broken in. All of my challengers have been purchased in the last few months, so I don't know how the older runs were. I really like how stiff they are compared to the Magnet, which is too soft for my tastes since they changed up the D plastic.
I haven't been able to hunt down a cam todd yet, but the supercolor challengers are really freakin stiff. kinda remind me of my old med wizards. |

old medium wizard is the perfect example. super stiff with just a little give in the flight plate. these are stiffer than my supercolors without the funny feeling stamp. While i havent thrown these yet, these are my favorite feeling challengers. i'll get a chance to throw them tomorrow if the storms hold off.

Yo Hero!
We need a floater or two that new players or players that throw around water could use. I driver and a mid would both be hot discs (I think), The other company has a couple of floaters. Lightning has a ton of floaters. I think a Discraft needs a floater. What current driver would be the best disc to make as a floater in your opinion? I think the best current mold might be the Avenger. |

which floater out right now is worth a @#2#! ?? While it might be nice to have a floater in the Discraft lineup, I don't really see many people throwing Dragons or Hydras, and it seems like faulty logic to pull out such unpredictable discs when your close to water.
I wish Discraft would release their glo lineup for another run though. |

Glow Z plastic would be awesome! I saw a glow Z Buzzz once on ebay but it went for about $50 which I thought was a little high at the time. |

Lightning make several good floater discs. Have you ever tried a #2 Hyzer? That thing is super stable. As far as the Innova discs go. My local club generally gets 4 or 5 Dragons everytime we order discs, and there is no water on our courses.
I use to play in Hays Kansas all the time and there is a small creek that runs the length of the park. It is as nasty as it gets and only a few feet deep. A floater would have been very handy when I played there. I have even watched Ron Converse bust out a floater in a tourney back in the late 90's and was throwing a mix bag. I just think that a good disc that floats would be attractive to new players. Plus I like to give Hero something to do at work. Floating Avenger would be a good disc. |

![]() After reading it again i saw that it was a question for newbies. I'd agree with you that the Avenger would be a great choice for a floater, maybe even an XL too.

"From Daemon Stahlin-
I'm very glad that I decided to put my player pack Z-Force in the bag for my 2nd and 3rd rounds at Am Nats this weekend. This disc helped me execute crucial, clutch 400'+ shots that I needed to play the best round of my life. On Sunday I had 5 birdies throwing the Z-Force, where any other disc would not have made it inside the circle. It was especially helpful on the uphill 755' #17 on Sunday, throwing the Z-Force on both drives, landing inside the circle (!!!!!) and snagging the birdie 3, en route to the hot round by 3 strokes! Only 2 other players in the top 30 took a 3 on 17 on Sunday, and I would bet that I am THE smallest player in the top 30. I am 5'5", 155 or so and I can bomb this thing over 420' or more, on a HYZER!!! I am super pumped to get to a field and try to start turning it over for some MAX DISTANCE. I am guessing that now I will be able to park the 485' #4 at HM Original at the DGLO this weekend, but I was too tired to practice at all yesterday. This disc is huge and much less nose-angle sensitive than ALL the other extra-wide-rimmed drivers I have tried. If you can't find one from the Am Nats player packs, I saw some sparkly Z-Forces that will be available as Player's Cup fund raisers. This disc is HUGE and I would not have won without the Z-Force in my bag. I am definitely going to be in the field this summer grooving my Z-Force in preparation for some more clutch 400'+ shots at Rock Hill!!!!! " |

I wasn't disagreeing that a floating disc would be nice, I'm just not impressed with the current floaters on the market. And I haven't lost all my love for lightning discs, I remember "crushing" my #1 Driver and #1 Slice about 275ft back in the 90s, thinking I was king of the course. I just laughed @ Tx States how many times I saw people pull out a Dragon that they'd never thrown before and screaming "Fade #@%^$#@ !!!"
A floating Avenger would be nice, if it was in X plastic, or maybe some XLs and Cyclones. As for the Z Forces, who usually sells the Player's Cup merch? Please keep us informed on when it's gonna be released to the public. thx |

Greens have a ghost stamp, clears have a silver stamp. I'm going to put a couple of them on Ebay tonight along with some discs I've been collecting. I'll post a link when I do. Regarding my discs on Ebay, I refuse to put the ridiculous prices I see some people do. They'll start cheap. (probably less than what I paid for them, used discs I start at a buck) I ship 1-3 discs for $5 via Priority mail & very fast. 4-6 $7.50 I havn't sold more than that at a time & really only about a dozen or so discs. Touring is taking it's toll financially & I've got to lighten my collection to offset the expenses. |

Why did Discraft discontinue the Xtreme?
I know A LOT of players (including me) that use this disc for their overhand and it is by far the best disc for that throw. |
