monthly was awesome. beautiful day and good turn out. too bad i suck at disc golf. did get home just in time to see the lead group of the players cup tee off of hole 2. Rory was ahead going into the second round with a smokin 51. christian was second with a 55 i shot a 57 and narehood 58. that was the lead card. we (dg, narehood, christian) where all tied for second by hole 3. then narehood and christian park hole 4 i take a 4 becasue i can't putt. then narehood birdies 5 christian takes a 4 i 3. all par 6 christian birdies 7 and 9. after i 4d 9 i was pretty much over it. not sure how the battle for second ended up. Maybe monty will post scores a little later

It ended up being a battle for 1st actually....Christian had tied it up going into 15. But then I pured 15 for the duece...That was a fun drive, didn't know I could pull it off. Then was able to hold him off by the stroke. Scuba got the 1 tag by tying Christian on the round.

I enjoyed that setup John, Nice work. It was a nice change of pace. The front was a shootout (shot a 20)...the back really played about the same. I'd like to see some shorter holes on the back with those pads...
I threw a sidewinder back hand on 15. Got it to do the late turnover. It looked like an ace run from back there and was 20 feet back and left. It'll be one of my most memorable shots, just looked nice. Good times. Oh, is there a points standings list? |

Chi & BWD are working on the site which I'm sure will have the current point standings.
I agree, the back nine needs more variety. The next alt mat should go on the back & I think its time for another alt basket or two.

Absolutely. I think Dave's plan is for me and Chad to revamp it with existing content and ideas from Boz and Russ.
Once we can get a copy of the course map (course_map.htm) we should be able to start fixing/replacing the broken links. Just keep in mind that greater things are in the works. I have some pretty good ideas for something like charlottedgc. I have some great open source templates in ASP that are really cool and look very professional. Also, I have all the pics you took. As soon as I can get up with Chad we'll post them. Chi |

OK I finally talked to Drew and he is cool with us bringing portable baskets out to IG and playing. I told him we may hold our monthly there this Saturday but I wanted to DISCuss it here first and have some options.
Option 1 - set up course in the morning and play both rounds at IG. Option 2 - morning rnd at CHP then haul baskets over to IG for an the final round. If we do this we'll know exactly what we got and there'll be no confusion. So...let's get a count on how many will be there and can bring baskets. I have two and maybe can borrow one. I'd luv to have 18 to keep it smooth. we will be paying the $4 each green fee. Spread the word to those who don't post. we can always do it next month or any time we want to get it together.

i have 2 baskets. i will be there (for at least a little while
) depending on how busy inland greens will be one idea would be to do tee times starting on 1 and 10 so that we can work in with the ball golfers. it may be awkward to do a shotgun start with ball golfers already out there.

I got one I can break down and fit in the celica...and am open to this saturday or the next month so we can spread the word if needed.... either way.
I am for either scenario... early am at Castle, B$ the crowds....since there is a family reunion at the gazebo on 15 this Sat. and afternoon at IG and just give way to the ball golfers so we dont [censored] them off. |

I have one but it's in Charlotte. I won't be going there for at least 3 weeks.
But I'll snag it when I go. It's a canvas/chain Ching Skillshot, though. |

I just went to Play it Again sports and the only disc catchers they had were brand new.
I kinda doubt they'd let us borrow one because then they'd have to sell them as used. Unless someone has an insider

Any chance doubles can moved to another day? It would be cool to mix it up with the only other club in the area. Just saying.
