Happy Birthday Scott.
I'm heading to Hickory for the tourny Sept 6,7 if anyone needs a ride or wants to carpool. I'm guessing I'll be hitting the local Mariot. Chi |

Elbow feels better, though I have not thrown a disc in 2 weeks.I'm probably going to stay on hiatus for the next couple of weeks and then throw a bit and see how it holds up.I am hoping to be able to play the FDC's or at least our Sept.monthly.As you already know......THIS SUCKS!!

Hey Scoobs,
Sorry to hear you're not able to say you're playing this afternoon. Being injured is definitely NOT fun, hang in there. Yes, I'll be in Hickory and thank you for the well wishes. |

You should have seen Schweb and Deacon going at it in 'DISC'. It was pretty great to watch.
Deac with 1st place win and D-Tuck sneaking in at 3rd. NHDGC had a great presence this past weekend at Hickory. I had a blast. I will post pics on the website when able. Chi |

so I know before Big wave mentioned he heard where a few baskets were going in at a local apartment complex......well I found out from a friend it is at Cape HArbor....off Gordon road... basically at the back area of the complex entrance. I have no idea how many baskets, but there is confirmation baskets well atleast one is in the ground and there. And I know for a fact their gates havent worked in a long, long time.....

it is 9 holes. But please if anybody is planning on playing there just keep in mind this is a course on private property. Please be respectful and low key. there is no reason to carry your bag it is a true pitch and putt. 2 or 3 discs are all you need. Hole 1 is in the front of the complex which is the Gordon road entrance. it is right next to the tennis courts. once again Please Please act accordingly. it would be a shame to lose access to this great little practice spot (especially for me considering it is right across the street from my work)

agreed and well said BWD. This is a gated community, but the gate stays open at this time... so I agree, carry 2-3 discs.... and act like your there cause you should be, we are all a respectful bunch when it comes to courses so hopefully this one stays in the ground and we can periodically gain access to it

Chi has recently hung out with the guy who lives near #7 tee (Dad of The Beast & The Shark). He might help us out.
I found some pics of the course I played in Switzerland in "04 with Switzerdan. Had a ace run on #9. http://www.dgcoursereview.com/galler...=2384&mode=gal

I actually know a few people that live there, and work with with one. He said the other day, that he was going to work at 4:30 am and there were ppl out there playing the course with headlamps on.... he als osaid that there have been windows supposably boken or damages done by renters out there throwing wildly and without knowledge. He said mainly people are going out there drunk after work and early evening throwing, and he said he knows for a fact they are people who live there tearing things up. But am looking foreward to visiting him or other people I know there to play. BWD...can get you infor you seek thru PM shortly

I was with family in Charlotte this past weekend and found out there's a new Stan McDaniel course in South Charlotte. It's at Elon Park, on the corner of Park Rd. and Audrey Kell. I haven't seen it yet, but I'll be there next weekend to check it out.
Just an FYI. Chi |
