This has to be the best rendition of this 60s classic. The link was sent to me by my best friend of 40 years. Either he's a glutton for punishment or I'm one of the luckiest people around to have known him for so long!

Below is a link to one of the best pieces of sound engineering work
I think I have ever heard/seen. It is a composite audio/video of
song whereby additional tracks were laid in by different singers and
musicians from different places around the world.

The song itself is that classic standard "Stand By Me" originally
released in 1955 by The Staple Singers and released again in 1961 by
the Drifters. This composite version is a real toe tapper.

The finished product is tremendous!

While researching some of the artists involved I came across the original web site.

The artist from Tel Aviv named Tula has an awesome voice.

Yeppers.....that be the one. I picked up Mace that cold January morning, drove to Veterans and decided I wasn't going to play after we got to the park. Brian called me a ***** and said "it's never too cold for a sixteen-hundred dollar ace pot!" Craig Leyva called me later that morning (I was asleep in a warm bed) to inform me that "Mace hit the ace".

He let me sign his disc 'cause I drove him to the park that morning.

What goes wrong when someone who is ESL (English as a second language) writes the punch line for Gaviscon...

The ESL/South Africa bit is an urban legend. Here's the real ad:
