With the new releases of FLX discs this year, I want to assemble an all FLX bag.
I am looking for all ORANGE discs. If you have any FLX discs in orange that you want to part ways with, please PM or email me and we can work out a trade, or sale. 176+ Buzzz 169-170 Surge 173+ Surge 166-168 XL 172+ XL 170+ Predator All these, the new Ace Race disc, and if Discraft ever makes the Drone in FLX would be one awesome bag!

My Warlock is not going away any time soon.
![]() If I want to stick with the flexible theme, I'll carry my supersoft Putt'R - do not like the Challenger at all! I also like the gumbputt or blowfly.

FLX XLs are bizarre. I have a couple of white ones that are very flat. They fly like ESP XLs without glide
. I have a green one that I like because it is OVERSTABLE. Its the only overstable XL I've ever thrown, so thats kind of unique. Overall I'm not a huge fan of FLX, but I do like the Buzz (but then again, I like ALL buzzes). I can see how the northerners would like in the snow, but in the Florida temperate rain it grips no better than anything else. I hope that Z never changes...Its funny to think that Z plastic was around during CE, and its still the same now 6 years after the last CE runs...

See, I have issues with the Z plastic and the ESP plastic. They're so **** slick in moisture. I LOVE my ESP Meteors, but in the rain? I just pull out DX Aviars or even CHAMP TLs. ESP is just that bad in moisture. Star plastic is actually tacky in moisture, which I adore. And Z is worse than ESP, so I'm amazed by your statement that you love Z in Florida's temperate rain.

As far as the plastics go, slick is slick. I honestly can't tell the difference between FLX, ESP, Champion, Z, Star, Pro, X, E, or H when they are wet. They are all super slick. Matte-style porous plastic(d, dx, s) is the only thing that you can actually grip when wet imo. If I have to play wet I would rather throw my soft magnet on every hole than shank a fast driver as it slips from my grip. In most cases I can keep my discs dry using an umbrella, and many microfiber towels. If I can keep them mostly dry, then I just throw what I normally throw because as I mentioned before, all premium plastics grip the same to me. They are best with a little moisture (it is hard to grip premium plastic in dry, dusty conditions imo), and though there are slight differences from disc to disc, all these plastics seem similar in grip to me. It is also simply a disc to disc matter. Take a brand new, stiff, slick Star Teerex or Shark. This plastic is as slick as anything ever made. Some ESP discs are like this as well. Some Champion and Z discs are unusually tacky. Bottom line is if you can stay dry throw what you always throw, and if you are wet then it is better to use Dx, d, s even if you don't know the discs very well. |

Do microfiber towels work better than a chamois?
