Default Disc spotting question

At Seneca hole 5 there is roped off OB along the entire left side of the fairway where there is a creek, there is also an OB ditch that crosses the fairway maybe 150 feet out off of the short tee, just on the other side of the ditch maybe 12 or 18 inches from the OB rope is a large tree with a diameter of at least 1 meter. It is not uncommon for a disc to clear the OB ditch hit the tree then rebound directly back towards the OB line such that the last spot inbounds is directly behind the tree, now it is possible to move the disc out to the tree, then squeeze in to make the shot but only about 1 foot of relief is available before you encounter the tree. How may it be spotted ?

Should be marked where it last was inbounds, so on the tree side. If you can't get a supporting point behind the tree IB, then take relief to the other side of the ditch along the LOP.

Or just cut the tree down

Thanks that's what I would have guessed (and guess what when the player finds out that there is no other relief you will see them squeeze in there real fast), anyway JG was trying to tell me you could measure up to a meter out to the side of the tree on an angle if you needed to, sounds crazy to me. BTW what if it is not a ditch but if you go out on the side and there is a close tree to the OB vertically from where you went out?
