Hopefully we will be able to get all 10 forms on the ground today, and not have to work tommorrow. We will post update after today. Whoever get's there first start grabbing forms and putting them on boxes that are scraped. I have many tools in my truck. Need more big sledgehammers today.

just found out we will still need 3-5 folks try and make it out today around 4:00 to help ensure the tee boxes are level, ensure we have the right amount of dirt in there and also put some caution tape around the forms so no one gets hurt.
if you can help please try and be around hole # 1 around 4:00 look for V or Goblin. thanks |

Speaking of level, I did not get back my red 4' alum. level yesterday. Please whom ever has it bring it back out wednesday (pour day) so I can get it back as i use it at my work. Have a meeting at 4:00pm today so probably will not make it out, but feel free to use my level on the tee pads today just bring it back out tomorrow. Thanks in advance for yall's help with this matter.

J.D. has a broom that is made just for this. Also bring push brooms if you have any as these will work as well to make rough surface on OUR tee pads. 5-gallon buckets full of water will also be needed for this purpose. See everyone at #17 tomorrow to pour concrete.

It will help a lot if you wet the forms before the concrete goes in. Just makes it easier to remove the forms.
![]() When you guys broom it, do not edge the pads, we did some like that in Tulsa. While they looked great, the last 3 inches of the box on the end and side turned out very slick. |

we were going to do that....I am glad you drop the experience on us.
Good times last night! Didn't know how much wet clay shrinkes.... Ed, Tim, and I went out to caution off the boxes and fine tune.....ended up shoveling, RE-tighing rebar.......as the sun set......thought to myself it will good to play off concrete.

I also thought to myself, wouldn't this be great if we had some help, us 3 wouldn't be out here bustin our arse until sunset on a day where it was implied "there's no more work until pour day". Whatever, hope you all had a ruby tuesday.

yes Ruby tuesday was nice. If we had so much more work why didn't we finish it up on Monday instead of standing around drinking?
would be nice to have some sign up sheets with folks who sign up and than know when the work days are.. Sorry but gas is pretty expensive to be driving back and fourth to RR from my house everyday. Can someone in the know please repost the remaining workdays?? |

We learned from that and all of the other pads were brushed, then left alone. They turned out great. I really wish I was there to offer some help. The work is hard but we had a blast getting all of ours in the ground. By the time you pour 70+ pads, you learn a couple of tricks. All the pads poured last year have no cracks or breakage and those huge tractor mowers run over them all the time. ![]() We ran one 2 man crew mucking in the concrete (who ever does this needs to where clothes you no longer want and some type of eye protection, that crap burns when it splatters in the eye) and two, 2 man crews skreeting, then two, 2 man crews macking and floating and one guy coming behind them to brush. Total of 12 workers. Kind of like an assembly line. We were able to get 18 poured and finished in about 6.5 hours. ![]() Good luck guys, I wish I was there. Its a great feeling to see a new pad in the ground. And know you were part of it.

Concrete is going to pour AT 3:00. Not when everyone shows up.........Ed and I have our phones on everyday if anyone needs to get a hold of us. We may have said we can't lead this thing.........sure fells like leading to me.
FYI .......ED and I are out of town Saturday......and what work done this last Monday and Tuesday will have to all be done Saturday for the remaining 9 boxes........we may have the luxuary of fine tuning before the pour....cause it seems that dirt shrinkes over night....if the center is deeper than 4' or the sides are deeper than the form board.....more concrete will be needed and only so much we get free.....dirt is cheaper than concrete

Thanx again to Edman, Vinie & Tim Payne for the finish work on the set forms last night. I'd also like to thank the incredibly patient women in their lives that understand this sheet wont do itself.
We need everyone ready to go @ 3 today - for reals. If work holds you, walk out. We need to make this happen, wet cocrete does not wait on workers to arrive @ the Rock, it drys. I'll be there to run stuff from box to box & deliver food when ya'll are close to finished. This will go smoothly so long as we all pitch in & leave our attitudes & opinions at home. Tim Payne should be one of the only people giving direstion tonight - pay attention, there's no redo on this.
