I don't know how many, never ran it like this before, might be more money for grabs in the handicaps, we'll see.......everyone might just want to play the handicaps ![]() I know that there are enough people that are regularly there to compete straight up but we often times have a few newer players that might be intimidated shooting against people that shoot 5-7 down, that's why we handicap ![]() Kyle's handicap is so HUGE that he'll never beat it though ![]() and Don't Worry Darrell ![]() I'll probably binge drink until 3 in the morning and still come out at 8ish, change more pins and throw down on all of ya'll ![]() ![]() ![]() Ace Pot money will be there......in my pocket where it will have a permanent home after tomorrow

Saturday August 18th, Ben Geren, 10:30 am tee-off, don't have to pay to play but if you want in the prizes or ace pot it'll cost $5
Rain or Shine I'm not changing anyones handicap from the last mini, we played as long as could be then and everything's mostly as short as can be now, plan is to move 1 basket before and 1 basket after the mini every week to provide some change in the course Ace Pot's $204 and everythings mostly as short as can be!! SOMEONE'S GONNA HIT THAT ACE

that would be awesome, I'd just be grumbling if I didn't get to see it
![]() As long as you pay, it's open to Anyone, complete, if hit you gotta pay WAFDA dues out of it to become a member if your not already ($20 per year) there's gonna be alot of opportunities this weekend, I think 12 of the holes will be definitely aceable for about anyone that can throw 220ish feet 3 aces were hit last Sunday on this layout during HOTB |

Saturday September 1, Ben Geren, 10:30 am tee-off, don't have to pay to play but if you want in the prizes or ace pot it'll cost $5
Rain or Shine Ace Pot's $20 plus whatever entries will bring this will be the LAST WEEKLY BEN GEREN HANDICAP MINI!!!! Not to worry though, the timing and formats all that's changing.... we'll be doing a weekly doubles night golf mini at Tilles on Tues. nights and Alma and Ben Geren will both be monthly 2nd Tues. of the month will be the club meeting so no Tilles Night Dubs then That's 5 mini's a month at 3 different courses

Cole played scratch (no handicap),
biggest problem I'm having with the handicap system now is people that show up many months after establishing a "real handicap" and had improved during that time (alot) as the winner of last week shows......... gotta figure out a time table for how long a handicap is good for, been pretty much honor system for new players and they're usually scared to say they're gonna shoot 15 big and say even, then they get creamed and don't understand that next time they'd be very likely to win as new players get better faster bagging doesn't happen often though, I guess everyone gets 1 chance to bag.......... perhaps we just need more players to establish divisions fixing to start an advertising campaign for all of our mini's, we'll see what happens, guess competitive golf isn't for everyone but there are alot of very good rec players here in the Fort that simply don't think they're good enough to compete when they really are, especially thru divisions or handicaps |

Looks like I'm going to have to come down there and teach you guys the proper Okie bagging technique. Now that it's cooling off I should be able to manage at least one round without passing out.
Get ready Evan. I'm bringing snakes this time.

You know...that was actually some pretty good golfin' weather.....all that fun made for an awesome day.
thanks guys. Alma Willie, there is a new junior golfer in the area, thought you might be able to hook him up with some of the other local pros to be! Bob Harris has the contact number.

apparently someone has attempted to steal some baskets at Ben Geren, around 14 of the sleeves had been pryed upon bending the tabs, 4 locks broke
luckily no baskets were taken Roger Koenigseder is replacing the broke locks out of WAFDA mini money and hopefully being able to bend the tabs where they'll still work several flags were also stolen from the ball golf course |

only 6 players, better than 5 or 4 or 3 or none ![]() James Perry 58/50.764 $13 Chris Eads 54/54 $5 Roger Knight 56/56 Evan McKee 64/56.66 Matt Spain 60/57.072 Chris Winders 63/59.284 Next Saturday, 12-8, 10:30am tee-off Ace Pot's $87 much pin movement this week, should be playing a shorter course, I'm looking into a more ratings style handicap to offset this problem, some players the longer positions effect and some they don't looking at discgolfunited.com, just not sure yet |
