You could always do the MulleTThead tribute cut if you grow it out all year up to MSDGC. TriPP would be honored.

But by the end, I had a 623-rated haircut. And that's generous.

We made three adjustments to this week's ratings:
1. We increased the number of displaed players to 200. 2. We added three tournaments that had previously not reported their scores. 3. We made a tweak to the calculations giving more weight to mwp as compared to wp. January 8, 2007 World Disc Golf Rankings |

It is being worked on. We've got a couple more tricks up our sleeve too. I have captured all of the ladies data and we just need to determine the most sound way of entering it into the DB. I'd give it 4 to 6 weeks.

No changes this week. As soon as the Savannah Open or Indian Hammocks get the final results up, we will calculate the new rankings.

We have added a couple features, as well as the results of the Savannah Open.
Now you can see the number of events the player has played in the past 18 months (min 8 necessary to qualify), as well as their wins and losses (against other qualified players). January 15th World Disc Golf Rankings We are still tweaking the system and found that we were mistakenly including data from tourneys older than 18 months. This has been fixed and 45 folks who used to be qualified are not anymore. The next upgrade will degrade the importance of tourneys older than 6 months. Basically, an event will lose 2% of its importance each week. After 50 weeks (just about a year), it will have no weight in the rankings. |

Yeah #188! Which I think is misleading with a W/L record of 18-179. If I were a pitcher, I would have been demoted to the minors years ago.

You do need to have played in at least 2 big events. And the big events tend to be where players will get a majority of their competition. (playing 100 folks matters a lot more than playing 20)
So yes, big events are more important by the fact that there is more competition. If a B-tier (Southern Nationals comes to mind) has 100+ competitors, that tourney is also going to have a big impact. Perhaps Southern Nationals should be referred to as a big event for 2007. |

First we add the women. Second we degrade the value of older tourneys. Third - well, you'll just have to wait and see.

more than a hundred! More than the 1000 rated players!
All pros should be world ranked. We all pay the same price, don't we? Or is this just some sort of hand done model that you are only using on 1000 rated players?

The Marshall Street rankings have both more than a hundred players and players rated under 1000 included. So yeah...
