Innova recently submitted the TeeRex and Goblin for PDGA testing. These discs were found to comply with all PDGA requirements, so they have been added to the list of PDGA-approved discs (attached Excel file). The PDGA logo and "PDGA Approved" are now permitted for use by the manufacturer in association with these products. Test measurements are listed below. TeeRex Certification No. 06-11 Outside diameter: 21.1 cm Height: 1.7 cm Rim depth: 1.2 cm Rim thickness: 2.2 cm Inside rim diameter: 16.8 cm Flexibility rating: 10.21 kg Rim configuration rating: 30.0 Maximum weight allowed: 175.1 g Goblin Certification No. 06-12 Outside diameter: 21.2 cm Height: 2.2 cm Rim depth: 1.3 cm Rim thickness: 1.0 cm Inside rim diameter: 19.3 cm Flexibility rating: 7.26 kg Rim configuration rating: 44.25 Maximum weight allowed: 176.0 g I was recently given the oppurtunity to throw both the T-Rex and the Goblin. The T-Rex flew very similar to how a monster felt when I first tried to throw it; very overstable and long. Just like other high speed drivers, I would not recomend it if you don't have the arm to throw it as hard as it needs to be thrown to ensure its entended flight. I was told by the person who let me throw it that it was a mix beetween a T-Bird and a Wraith. The Goblin was an interesting multipupose disc that had great floating potential and I don't mean in the water. I stood about 25 yds apart from another guy and with a strong cross wind tossed it back and forth like it was nothing. Predictable straight up and straight down floating flight paths made this disc look very desirable. If any of you can remember there used to be a disc called a "Hammer/Hammerhead" the Goblin seems to be a mix of that and a Panther, maybe a Bulldog. Just my opinion. I will be purchasing one as soon as they come out.

Just picked up a brand new Star Plastic T-REX and its a pretty nice driver. If you're a fan of other high speed drivers like the WRAITH, STARFIRE, ORC, or MONSTER you'll want to pick one of these bad boys up. I watched a friend of mine chunk it over 500 ft like it was nothing on a hyzer line, but this guy does have a cannon for an arm.

The only way I know how to get one is either through Innova directly or the World Doubles players package.

They're out. I just ordered one from Innova West, discgolfvalues.com. They've got the sweet old school star stamp, too.

Mark has one of the Star stamped ones up on ebay. Actually, the exact one that's in the picture I believe. You can look at his auctions off of discgolfvalues.com or I think his seller name is mrfourputt.

Zonedriven will have them this morning. Star Stamp. Lots of tasty colors, including my favorites, neon pink and neon green.

Zonedriven has the Star stamp
Discgolfvalues does not have the ones with the star stamp I ordered from zonedriven, and they had some unusuall colors, but now all the color are normal star colors, I wonder if I will get what I ordered? Did anyone who ordered right away see those too? |

can anyone give a valid comparison between the Tee-rex and the ESP surge?
I read wraith distance and I assume that means pro-wraith since from what I have done and seen not many people get more D with the star or champion wraith compared to the Pro. And as far as the stability I would put the Surge as a little more stable than a 10x kc tee-bird (that is when I stopped throwing tee bird so I dont know what they are like now) Is there anyone out there that has thrown both and if so what is the general thought about any differences in these two discs? I appoligize if this is looked at as a thread hijack I didnt want to start a new thread. (lazy) |

Heard right from the men and ladies at ZD:
The teerex is going to be as long as the wraith, being more stable than the star or the cfr (depending on which side of the stability argument you stand). They also iindicated it's going to be a great headwind max d driver that big arms can throw _flat_!!!! sweeeeeeeeeeet!

I thought that the Surge was less stable than the Wraith, so obviously the T-Rex would be a lot more overstable.

For me, the Wraith is less hi speed stable than the surge. But they finish comparable to each other.

My white 170-g Star stamped star TeeRex is not overstable at all. I'm no cannon-arm, so I was really surprised by this.
