There is a disc on eBay, where the seller admitted dredging it from a lake, and he kept it for himself to sell...

Is there any way to get ahold of this guy and let him know? I know it's just an x-out, but it's more about the principle. Personally, I would like to know if someone had found, and were now pawning off, my disc.

Hey dude,
I know what you mean about the bottom dwellers. I found a friend of mine's disc on Ebay about a year ago.The disc even had his phone number as well as his name. I actually bought the disc and gave it back to my bud. The crazty thing about it, was when I got it back, we had the guy's name and address. Kinda of bogus when your selling other people's plastic. Best thing is to when you find out who it is, just ban him from playing with your group.

That isn't the best seller. I recently got 2 japan rocs from him and one of them had a flaky hotstamp and a big part of it had flaked off by the I got it. he said the rest of the one like the ones I got were the same way so I couldn't trade. He did promptly give me a refund. then a couple of days later he listed another one and didn't say anything about the flaky hotstamps! I contacted him about the Teebird in the auction, and he said that its probably not a proto ce and he still has it listed as that!!! kinda lame

Theres no probably about it. Ive also sent off some emails. Thats nothing more than an x-out Teebird.

Yeah...and what about those people too lazy to retrieve their own plastic from the pond---especially knowing it's in there. "Ooh, it's so icky and yucky in that nasty water..." If you're not willing to go into a water hazard after your plastic, tough titty--you'll probably never see it again. Now, I do agree that misrepresenting a disc's model or run in an auction/sale is completely reprehensible.

Are you serious? This guy went swimming in a lake for a disc your buddy didn't care that much about or he could have just as well swam for it, and do you really expect it to be returned? More power to him for finding it. At best he should charge your buddy $20 for the effort of fishing it out, then you'll see if it's worth it. Personally if I give up on a disc I have either looked way too long, or didn't care, I gave up on it, more power to whoever finds it. Just my feelings about lost (gave up on) discs. Nothing is ever "lost" just hiding somewhere and if you spend enough time and effort you'll find it. If you don't want to spend that time and effort then you waive all rights to the disc.
