THIS SATURDAY - Pease Park Party & Minis: We are saying good bye to our beloved Pease Park disc golf course this year. Please come out this Saturday to play Waterloo's 9:00 and/or 2:00 minis to say adios to an Austin landmark (just $5 for Ams, $10 Pros). There will be T-shirts for sale, sausage wraps, a live band, silent auction and/or raffles, brewskies and much much more.

We are hoping to have some nice auction items of Pease history. If anyone has any Pease memorabilia that they would like to donate to the auction (shirts, discs, minis, etc.) it would be greatly appreciated.

The 9 am morning mini will be considered our December Monthly Mini. This means it starts with the ace pot money that has been growing all year, somewhere around $350. If no aces are hit, it will carry over to January’s mini.

The 2 pm afternoon mini will have the classic $5 Pease ace pot pay-in. If no aces are hit, there will be a CTP at the end of the round for the cash.

Hi! Im visiting Austin next week and am looking for some minis/tourneys to play, if there are any.

Also, some advice on what to play and what not to play would be great. Ill be in Cedar Park from the 5th to the 15th, give or take a day on each end.

Yes, there is a mini at the Met Center on Tuesdays now. I saw this post somewhere (on facebook I think) from Bird:

Mini at the Met today, 3:30pm-5pm flex start and $200 in the open division ace pot. All skill levels are welcome, so all ams come out to get some great experience. Ams are paid in vouchers to play it again sports and have their own ace pot. the more people that come out the bigger it's a going to get.

He was running it at Bart, but has now moved to the Met Center.

The start time of the Waterloo Club’s weekly at Bartholomew is changing.

Beginning this Saturday, May 7th, the mini will start at 10 am.

It had been an afternoon mini, but summer is rapidly approaching so Phil is changing it to a morning mini. Should make for a much nicer round.

Due to the big Battle of Slaughter Creek tournament this weekend (at Austin Ridge Bible Church), there will be NO Bartholomew mini on Saturday morning. The mini will resume next Saturday, June 18th, (starts at 10 am).

The weekly Saturday morning mini at Bartholomew is cancelled on March 2, 2013 because of all the disc golf workdays going on around the city. Go to the Home Page of our website, www.austindiscgolf.org for more info, or check the recent posts in the "Work Days for Austin Courses " discussion thread on this Board.

The Bart mini will resume on March 9th.

he Waterloo Club’s weekly mini at Bartholomew Park on Saturday, April 27th is being delayed by 1 hour. It will begin at 11 am (instead of 10 am).


If you are going to play the mini, we hope you will come down to the park early, at 9 am, to help with the neighborhood’s mulching project. You can then head over for the mini at 11 am.

The mulching will be from 9 am – 12:30 pm and we’d love for you to help the whole time, but if you can’t be there the whole morning, please come help for as long as you can. More info about the workday can be found at the Club's "Work Days at Austin Courses" thread.

Also, please help us pass the word along to folks who regularly play that mini, especially those that don’t have email or aren’t online or on Facebook (or at least don’t check them often).
