GET OVER IT... That's Disc Golf - some days everything goes in, other days nothing goes in... As long as you learned something from the experience and use that to improve your play then you’re heading in the right direction. And don't forget to have FUN.

If it was easy - everyone would be a Pro and that is definitely not the case.

Chin up youngster – there’s a lot of golf left…

If you kept your anger in check all weekend & showed up for all rounds, you didn't disgrace your family or the club regardless of your score. It's not like you don't have a full time job, home, & family to keep up with & are on tour trying to pay for your life with winnings. We're weekend wariors - trying to keep up with the bigdogs when they come to town. No one said it'd be easy.

Big thanx to the club for the donation of merch to TWC/Tx Mxd Dubs - this will go a long way towards helping reach our goals for USWDGC in September. Gotta look good, this is Round Rock damit.

We still need your help this weekend - if you can come out to Northtown Park & pitch in , please do. There will be work to do today from about 3:00pm on & all day Saturday & Sunday starting about 7:00am. We'll need spotters both days, escorts on Sunday, help with course set up & break down, etc. both days. Anything you can do will be appriciated. Thanx for comin' out!!!

Big thanx to the club members that were able to come help with Tx Mixed Dubs (over 80 players) & TWC (almost 70 players). Both events were huge - everyone that played a part in making these great events happen should be proud. Club helping w/scorings, spotting, setting up lunch, escorts, caddies, juniors, etc. - thank you. I'd also like to offer an extra big thanx to 1st time staffer Ryan Hise (now known as monkey boy) without you things would not have run as smoothly - thank you for all you did all 3 days. If Ryan ever asks if he can help you - the answer is yes, trust me. Also my caddie Steve-O, thanx for helping me stick to the PROgram. Laying up is hard - esp on the leader card, with a gallery (mostly club members - thanx) & being filmed all 21 holes. But it got me 4th place, so for now, I'm sticking with the PROgram. I'll remember I'm a good putter soon, but being back on the top card was really what I needed to keep the plan moving - September, here I come!!!

Unhappy Just so everyone knows.....

My car was broken into last night.....AGAIN. Of course they got radio and some medicine, but also as I arrived at Brushy Creek to play nine this afternoon, I realized they also got my bag along with a bag of Club merch. I just wanted to let all club members know I accept responsibility as the merch was in my posession, and I will do what I can when I can to replace what was lost of the club.

The currently discussed OB has been presented to the PARD & we are only awaiting a final walk thru for overall approved by the city through a series planning meeting involing all levels of the PARD in refrence to & in preparation for the 2011 USWDGC. Several cabinet member have been invited to these meeting & have unfortuantel not been available to attend as of yet.

The city owns the course & any disc golfer or comunity member with enough free time can devolpe ideas & propose them to the city for approval & implementation.

The decision on if these implements are to be used in our minis is a cabinet decision.

Course changes - that I'm aware of, but I didn't look - are not detailed in our by laws (don't think we ever got that far). I don't think Vinnie, or any other club member, has the right to go out & cut down a tree or relocate a basket - as has unfortunately happened in the past (like 2 or 3 years ago with the B-hole mistake). Dbl R doesn't own the course we only have positive power on our side as an organization opposed to an individual making course recomendations to the PARD.

The changes under current discussion however are not permanent changes to the course - no cutting, moving pins permanatly, etc. They are temporary additions to be utilized for tournament play - and club play if approved by the cabinet.

ARCH on #9...

The OSP Parks and Rec informed me that there is a process that must be adhered to before making any course modifications - this includes making the recommendation for a change, meeting w/ the Parks & Rec employees to discuss and then the Parks and Rec can approve or disapprove the changes. They said this has been the standard protocol and they have worked w/ Ed in the past.

Please inform the cabinet of any course modification ideas so we can follow proper procedures in the future. If this is not in the Club By-Law, I hope to soon make it 1.

The Arch on #9 I was told was being removed - He said that his Arborist would have freaked out if he saw that the PVC was screwed into the trees - thus he was removing immediately before he saw it.

Vinnie, everyone appreciates the work you've done for OSP and the game itself. No one would argue against that! The point is that at some point, the city will take notice, because some things matter more to them than others. The arch w/screws into the tree is one of those that would matter.
