We need to get Chris Ware as president of the PDGA, because he knows the rules better than the people who are there now. Ware would not let a pro player play am worlds. or let anyone have special treatment.

Played it about a month ago and the new holes on the other side of the bridge had some tall fairways. Everything else was still looking good.

FK that, I can find better things to do, Sht innova's profit last year was over 12 million dollars and the payout stunk because they did not sponsor any $$$$. Innova needs to give something back to the discgolfers.

Jerry,

I do not know what Worlds you went to but the one we ran in Augusta last week was the second richest in PDGA history.

- Augusta paid out an $83,000 total purse (2nd all time to Ann Arbor combined Pro/Am Worlds)

- Added cash exceeded $25,000

- Open division had the 3rd smallest field in the 25 year history of the event (125 players) but the Open winner won $5,500 (2nd most in history) and the overall division received the 2nd largest payout in history.

- Women's winner won $1,650 (3rd most in history - only $115 less than record of $1,765 at Ann Arbor combined Pro/Am Worlds)

- We paid out the highest percentage of players in each division in history as per the PDGA's new flatter payout schedule.

Do the math.....We paid out more money to more people than 23 of the previous 24 Worlds with one of the smallest fields. If you break it down to the number of competitors, than we were hands down, the richest in history.

Innova gave plenty to the disc golfers including most of the $25,000 added cash, the embroidered golf shirt and discs you got in your players package and the Dri-fit shirts given to all at the Fly-Mart. Did I mention the $15,000 donation to EDGE and the $10,000 donation to the International Disc Golf Center?

The purpose of this post is not to toot my own horn but to present the facts to you. If you have a particular problem, please feel free to call me anytime.

Brian Graham

Jerry,

In your division (Masters) alone, we added over $4,500 and paid out 140% of entry fees to 45% of the division. Your 22nd place finish in a division of 60 people would not have even gotten you paid at most of the previous Worlds as the payout schedule at that time only paid the top 1/3.

Please explain how the payout sucked.

Regards,
Brian Graham

Jerry,

Actually, you did win your entry fee back minus the $10 ace pool money that was deducted from every entry.

The PDGA does not mandate that last place money get their entry fee back anymore now that the scale is flatter and we pay out many more spots than used to be required. It is only due to the deeper payout in recent years that you won any money at all as Pro worlds used to pay only the top 1/3. Sorry if you somehow feel cheated but we exceeded all requirements. We just ran the second richest Pro worlds in history and all I hear is complaining. Now I know why nobody wants to run pro worlds.

Brian Graham
