Does anyone know anything about the projected 36 hole disc golf center that is proposed for Austin? I have heard talk of it on the radio and read it on ABC's website today. It supposedly has an $880,000 budget and is part of this crazy stimulus package..

EZ...

That is a city mega park around Loyola (969 and 290). They wanted submissions for shovel ready projects for the stimulus pkg. When people looked through money going to Austin, the park was mentioned and some $ for disc golf course. Shovel ready refers to starting construction this year as opposed to most of the "non-stimulus" construction spending which won't even start for years. I don't believe this project will create many jobs at all since the city will use primarily city employees. If they do bid something out it will be to an existing company and they'll hire a couple of minimum wage workers for a year then they are gone when the project is over.

Off topic, but this is the place for everything else - Danniel Temple is a dumb arse. Seriously! & Lastcash isn't much better. How do you agree that it's stupid to run a mini in the same town on the same day, but OK to run tournaments in the same place on the same days. What a dork. Sorry, now I feel better & I didn't have to bring his thread up to the front page.

since we're complaining, is it just me or is the message board/site in general super slow. I dont think It's my comp since none of the other sites I go to seem to be that way. It reminds me of back inthe day when I had webtv.
