ok so some of you know about that 9 hole pitch/putt course in Leander on the corner of Bagdad and Osage (Lakeline Ranch subdivision, behind the community swimming pool). Although its a 5 minute walk from my house, I've played it a total of once.....and that was enough.
![]() Well NOW.......at the intersection of Osage and Lakeline Blvd, about 1/2 mile down from the course above, there's another subdivision going up and in the front of this subdivision facing Lakeline Blvd, a park w/swimming pool is going up and there's baskets in the ground there as well! WTF? From the closeness of the baskets to each other, its sure to be another pitch/putt 9 hole type. So now i'm gonna have *2* practice courses nearby, neither really worth more than practicing upshots and putting. There must be some incentive to put in a course into a community park, however crappy that course may be........ Is this thing going on all over the Austin metro area, or just here (Leander), I wonder? Anyone know? |

The 18 hole @ Kelly Lane in Pflugerville is just as useless - actually worse as the 4 x 9 tee boxes are facing sideways.
Edman suggested we play from 1's tee to 2's basket & have to walk the course twice to get in 18. Some of the sideways boxes make great hole on baskets across the little lake in the middle, but other wise it's totally scerwed up. Sure would be nice if we were a little more proactive & could assist in the design on these projects - sounds like a calling for captain Buttercup. Paul - let's get on this.

I have your gray cooking pot, it'll cost you a big shot of pinch to cover the gas to get it here. It looked like it's been around awhile I'm glad I have it for you. Good news on my end, Dr. has given me a full release to do whatever I want except mountain biking and weightlifting and of course he wants me to hold off from kicking carrol's arze. Happy T-day to all, I start puTTing today, 1st time since LOSO. I'll get ready to play Mr. Titanium.

The Titanium side is great. Now the problem is a piece of calcium or cement on the other side along with some cartilage being pinched. Feels like a knife stuck in the side of my knee. Hopefully the surgeon will use the scope and remove the calcium and trim the cartilage and it will be fine. What are you going into surgery for? You're too young for bad knees.

Sounds bad...usually the MRI tech's don't reveal anything unless they feel confident. Sounds like an amputation. Just kidding. Hope it turns out okay. Those MRI tech's are probably like firemen, they'll mess with you until you get mad. Good Luck!

Hi to all RRDGC members
I finally joined the PDGA so now instead of just reading the posts I can join in on the discussions. I ment some of you at OS a few Sundays ago and played in the doubles mini with ?Chris? as my partner (Sorry not very good with names I suffer from CRS syndrome) My name is Bob Kelly. The wife and I moved down from SW Iowa 06/2006. I started playing the end of August 2007. Anyways just wanted to say hi to ya'all. Once I get a bit better, and if you'll have me, I would like to join your club.

Welcome to our Central TX DG family Bob - Wednesday we also cook out & have a puTTing game for late comers under the pavillion @ hole 13. Starts shortly after dark, & you're welcome to come to that also - lots of fun, lots of food, & a few CFO's (or so I hear)
