WACO then KCWO for me, I never know where or what the format is for Sundays, maybe if it was a consistent format and location, we would ALL know what was happining in Round Rock on Sundays......Anyone know why the disc golfer didn't cross the cash road................cause he got ran over by a DOUBLEs truck..........

Agreed same format on the same course week after week would make it simple to remember for everyone. I.E. Singles at OSP every Sunday - that's easy to remember.

Although past history shows attendance would drop off. Feedback I have recieved is that most members want to play Doubles and want a varity of courses. I for 1 would not show on Sunday for Singles at OSP (I only make 1/2 of the Sunday mini's).

The current rotation/format was created to drive additional attendance.

agreed....not sure if single at the ROCK would be a good idea...L.
but singles at Northtown or Wilco every Sunday would help me cross the cash road

Then why did you think this sunday was Wilco....HONK?
If every area golfer had vast computer skills( chime in there JD) then the switching of locations and format would work.

3rd sunday coming up. so that means NT doubles.

also I would like for folks to email me with suggestions and productive comments on ways to increase sunday attendance. or even send me an email on why you dont play on sundays.

chris_Ware@dell.com

V and Lala if your emails is going to say no singles then please dont send. as we have mixed singles in the rotation and attendance actually went down .. I know hard to beleive it can go down from 5-7 people but it has.

Appearently the IQ of the club must be declining or memory is degrading w/ age as the Sunday mini has always rotated since I moved to the Austin area 7 years ago... I loved playing Lago Vista back in the day and riding out there w/ Ricky and Chris...

Feedback I have heard is it is not the rotation format but the $10 entry... Last 2 Sundays have ended up w/ 0 members playing.

I have T-Ball on Sunday's for 2 more weeks and it has kept me away... I hope if we go w/ 1 course and 1 format it ends up being Doubles at Rivery :-) I am hoping to move up to Pro Masters and don't see myself donating $10 every Sunday to play Singles on the same course. That's just my opinion...

It did rotate....I think it was the first sunday of the month was Lago....the rest of the time was OSP.......It doesn't have to be singles.....just consistant...if it is doubles ...then someone needs to step up and run a doubles tourney.....just so all this doubles pratice can lead to something

This is not directed at anyone in particular, you are all part of my Double R family. Stop acting like doubles is not practice to improve your game...It just improves a different aspect of your game. Doubles can help you improve the physical and muscle memory aspects of your game. It cannot teach you how to become mentally stronger and to sieze the moment, which is what is needed in singles. We have golfers of many different skill levels looking to improve different aspects of their game, so let's put our personal motives aside and quit talking about it. We need to get some consistency in our schedule if we expect to raise attendence, and I don't think anyone doubts that, so let's make a decision, stick to it, and move on!!!!

ok folks to try and cut down on confusion and to hope to drive attendance the new sunday rotation will be the following.

New Sunday mini rotation:

Singles @ North Town brings a few more faces out & a good mix of new & old members. Good to see Goblin playing again & nice for Edman & I to walk out with more cash than we started with. Not bad for not wanting to pay to play golf this morning. Chris - thanx again for running the mini & to the guys keeping the cash CTP's alive.
