Nice first day of spring. Rivery tomorrow and if the weather is a repeat of today sign-up will be in the front seat of my truck. Ace pot near $200 and Wanna Play is sponsoring a CTP for a team. Thanks....for coming out.

Headed to Wilco, doubt it's closed, if so we'll come up with plan there.

6 players @ Wilco - doubles 1 card, no aces. Ace pot @ $236.
No mini next week - TWC on both OSP courses.

So is the Sunday Mini canceled on 4/11 since TWC will be at OSP or can we just flip the 2nd and 3rd Sunday to allow play at Rivery on the 11th. I cannot commit to being there yet but if I am - I will be happy to run it. I think that has been the typical protocol in the past where there have been conflicts like this.

We've always cancelled the mini when a mens event is on the course of the mini. Why would we not offer the ladies the same respect? TWC has been on the 3rd weekend in the past, so there's been no course conflict since Rivery is on that weekend.

Just trying to understand and if I understand correctly -
If there is any tournament that conflicts (played on same course) w/ a Double R DG mini, means the mini is canceled. I am sure this does not happen often but will help me understand for future reference. Guess that means we should never move a mini unless rain forces the move. |

Common sense seems to dictate that majority wins. If we have 2% of our members in a tourney, and 60% want to play a mini elsewhere, we should still cancel the mini? No sense there. Majority wins every time.
I have family in town this weekend to celebrate my old *** making it to 34, so I won't be at either venue. :-) |

This was a cabinet decision as all of these types of calls are. Any chance some of you could give us a hand at TWC this weekend? We've been averaging 5-6 people on Sunday. Why all the chatter about this Sunday? Oh nevermind, i got it.

there will still be a mini at Rivery at 9:30 $10 entry with $5 for payout, $2 CTP , $3 ace pot, no ace we will ctp the $$, for those of you who are not playing or unable to help out at TWC due to other obligations. |
