What are the guidelines for being a Pro or an Am I know that I'm an Am, because Ware made it clear when we were at the Rock, that I needed to quit throwing it 50' pass the basket when putting.

Smitty was being told to move up in the Rock Mini singles leagues 2 YEARS ago, lol. Its NEVER gonna be fair, but there should be some effort to nudge those people who are "right on the line" (bagger might be too strong a word), to move upward. Like CW saying Smitty "will be" playing Pro. Maybe ridicule will work, lol (it didn't 2 years ago).

I can see how baggers can cause those in the AM division to not bother doing the side bet...but for someone near the line, its better than being in Pro and having zero chance to win anything. I seem to remember overhearing someone say that once when they were told to move up......hehe

I think there should be some sort of "enforcement". But in the end, who the heck cares. If you come out to make money......er um all I can say is there are better ways to make money than in disc golf minis.

The imporant items are:
1. As LaLa said - cut-off at 5:15 so be there by 5
2. Bring plenty of beer and other Accommodations
3. We can figure it all out at 5
4. It's all for fun....

tony you crack me up. way to damage Ricky's confidence the last 2 draws

the last 2 posts from Ware2 and JohnE could not have said it better.

if you feel like you are being forced up don't side bet and work on your game.

I can't wait to see some of the scores for singles. I think I will start a sheet for course SSA and player ratings for the next league that is divisional so we can get these fence sitters to move in the right direction and we won't have to worry about what division you want to play but you will be playing the one your RR SSA course rating says

and I am going to do my best to remember

Ricky was having chest pains on Wednesday from having to carry me around the course, and I think it he didn't fully recovered before having to carry me again on Thusday.

Who from the Rock is going to World Am's in Tulsa this year? How do I sign up?

My older brother gave me the nickname Taz when we were kids, and I follow it up with my initials.

Thx for the welcome to the board, I'm still trying to find my way around.

maybe!! if this were at pretty much any other course I might play pro.. Old settlers is pretty much the worst type of course for me to play competively.. Thats why I will not play open there.. IMO i am a mid level advanced player at the rock.. Just the way I see it!!

Horrible, as expected! Doubles can really spoil ya, lol!!!! I could hear the ghosts of my former "decent" level of play, howling as I missed putt after putt after putt.....

Reminds me of something TBender had as a sig, in reference to Atwood.....a toung in cheek biblical quote....."Mark did putt again and again and again until the basket was slain".

lol.....johne you so funny

It would make good practice for all if the cards could be set up with mixed divisions.
I would suggest using player rating according to the last week league play
EXAMPLE card
Ware shots 1000rated
Ian shots 999 rated
Play with the next two highest rated am round
I sure there are other ideas.....so let them fly

EF....if old settlers is the worst course for you to play open.
Don't go to WORLDS....two of the courses are much like the ROCK

I like the mixing of cards. good way for more experinced players to help the newer players. I was on a card with 3 new guys last night. Smitty, Jd and Tazamp.

W/ Mixed Cards, how do tags work - low score takes low tag. I'm not a betting man but I would put money that a PRO has a lower score then the AM's 9 out of 10 times... Not saying that I don't want to do it (playing w/ the old men week after week could get old) Maybe do it by the previous week’s round - all scores into the pool - top 4 on top card...

I like the idea of using the prior weeks score that way the folks on the cards might have close tag #'s . but who really cares about tags.

Default Tags & Cards

Tags have nothing to do with who you play with - refer to the rules sheet. If you're playing a RR event, tags are on - no matter who you're playing with.
Playing with the old guys for 12 weeks will get old.
Cards will be laid out as sign up is done - no matching ratings, nothing from last week, just randomly laid out (a few mixed card will happen, but if ams want to play with Pros - they can play Pro). I'll adjust which division starts close based upon the turn out (if we have 20 Pro, and 10 in each of the other 2 divisions, then the Pros will go to close holes every other week & the old farts & ams wil alternate diving).

---- I never said Tags determine who you play with...

---- This is good to know as I have had several people tell me that I can not have their tag because not everyone had a tag in the group

--- Since this is done by sign up - everyone who signs up for Adv Master will be playing together (1st four together, etc...). If I want to play w/ a Pro I should sign up under Open???

Just trying to understand the format...

If you are playing dubs all players must have tags. Tags are switched based on lowest score - regardless of who's on the card (so long as I understand the rules we got with the tags).

Yes, if you want to play with the Pro players then I'd suggest playing Pro. The masters will probobly be 3's as they seem to navigate the course a little slower , but yes I'll try & keep divisions together unless there's a carry over player like last night.

$10

if we are not mixing cards than please dont put me with AMS. it is not fair for players to not all be playing with their same divisions if the mixing is not across all same division cards. Appears I may have missed a bunch of the decisions that were made around this league I swear I heard talk last night of trying to figure out how to help improve some of the newer players by putting them with open players. maybe it was a dream? Sounds like Lala has it all under control...

You confuse me Ware...
first you say dont put you (pro player) with ams.
Then you state you heard talk of putting new players with open players....

What is the problem with you playing with ams? It is a casual, weekly mini- not a tournament. What is the big deal? Maybe I missed sompthin....
