Hola fellow discers. Coming up in a few weeks will be the first annual "Turkey Toss" GDS tour disc golf tournament at Hiestand park in Madison. It will be held on Saturday November 19th. Divisions will include Am men, Am women, Pro men, and Pro master men. registration will be from 8 A.M. to 9 A.M. Tee off at 9:15 A.M. All Am divisions will be $20, and all Pro divisions will be $30. Everyone will recieve one Gateway disc and a sticker in their players package. Payout will be to the top 40%. It should be a fun day of disc and some crazy side games all in the name of our beloved sport. Don't miss your chance to get in your last tourney of the year at our beloved course. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Hiestand course restoration fund. So please come support. If you have any questions you can contact me at www.president@madcitydisc.org. Happy flights and I hope to see you on the links. Hasta.

Sounds like fun Todd. Kim/I will be there... and hopefully my back will be too! I'm hoping in two weeks it will be back to normal.

Hey Todd, is this event still going on? There was a little confusion at league about whether it was still happening.

I got an email from Todd yesterday giving me all the details so I believe it's still happening.

I hope the weather holds out. I have to be honest in saying if it's raining I'll probably pass. Especially if it's 30 some degrees. I hope it just snows... then it would be just plain fun! Hopefully my new car will get here before then too or else I might have to pick it up on Saturday.

Weather is looking pretty good. Nothing until afternoon and it's only a small chance. Looks like a fine day for some disc golf!

I was planning on hunting Saturday but some things came up in Platteville and I wouldn't mind spending Friday night here . . . if that's the case I'll probably just wake up early and head out to this tournament and then head to my parents house afterwards. There's always room for 1 more tournament this year

Contrary to some rumors the tourney is definately going on tomorrow. I apologize for any miscommunication that may have caused this concern. I hope the rain will hold off for us until we conclude.
Hope to see everyone out there.

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported today. It turned out to be a perfect mid-november day in Wisconsin with temps near 50 and a slight breeze. Although attendance was a little below expected, a great time was had by all who attended. Thanks big time to Gateway Disc Sports for their contributions and support. The trophies were incredible. Better than some major event trophies that I have seen!
I look forward next year to doing a series of Gateway events in the Madison area to try to bring in some of the thousands of recreational disc golfers that we have here in town. Once again thanks to all who attended as you make it all happen. See you on the links. Hasta.![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm thinking of an Ice Bowl instead sometime in early January. This fall I have too many things going on. Wish I could.

Sounds good Todd. I'd love to see an ice bowl back in Madison again. I had a lot of fun @ the previous ones. Maybe a trip to the Ale Asylem after...hmmmm.
