100% sure it was Mike - He beat Dollar in the final - GA was 2nd and 3rd place though in Tiki - PLUS Georgia had the best overall showings by any state in ALL competitons involved (PDGA and any side event) for the whole week - 3 firsts, a buttload of 2nds, some 3rds not even counting the 20th place in GM for the A-Tier!

The Virginians try to keep us out and we keep coming back - the Grange is the best place on Earth for fun no matter how many 700 rated rounds you throw!

See everyone in Oct at the Holllow!

Hey all and sorry for the delayed information. I have been running around like crazy lately. Between moving on short notice and then working an average of 60+ hours a week, I have been a tad busy but we have begun working on this event. Here is some information below.

Randolph Park Open
June 19-20, 2010 C-Tier
2 rounds each day, we will play each set of tees once per day
Sign in starts at 8am on Saturday, players meeting at 9:30 am and tee time for first round on Saturday is 10 am.
Sunday's tee time for round 3 will be 9 am.
Lunch will be available to purchase on site on Sunday and all profit will go into the tournament.

Entry fees
Pro - $45
Advanced Am - $35
All other amateur divisions - $25
All players will receive a players pack that does not come out of their entry fee. Ace pool is included with your entry. Since it is Father's Day weekend, all dads will receive $5 off their entry fee.

Scott Faison
1100 Golfview Dr
Blacksburg, Va 24060

Hole sponsorships are available for $25 per hole. Any other donations are gladly accepted.

Steve Dodge just posted the reminder for those already having spots reserved that need to be paid for by the 12th to not lose them and these are the VA (or VA regulars) on the list.

Weidle,Boyce,Naved, JG - so just a heads up if any of the VA guys reading this thread want to pass on the reminder - hate to see anyone lose out on the second biggest Disc Golf side action Event in the country that wants to play it.

No worries; yesterday, I poked each MD & VA player on that list via email and/or FB with the correct info. Will be lotsa no-shows this year, unfortunately.

Fixed it my post Steve - sorry.

Looking at recent history, not sure why you say "not so great rounds".

In open, all 4 players (small field, yes), shot better than the winning score for Open in either 2008 or 2009. In fact you have to go back to 2006 to find a better score than the 2010 Open winner. (and there were 2 scores in 2006 which were better than Derek's 2010 performance, and the 2nd was Hunter Todd playing in AM1 at the time)

Other divisions scores overall seemed slightly better than in the past (i shot 9 strokes better than i did in 2008, and was about the same relative to the field in both tournaments.

Great tournament, Hysell. It's a shame it wasn't better attended this year.

Oh, that kind of not so great rounds. Likewise, here.

Bizarre that the AM1 field mostly smoked the Masters field (top 4 in AM1 (9 person field) all finished ahead of the Masters winner (6 person field), especially since the courses were short and/or narrow (with the possible exception of Gillies longs).

In 2008, 7 of 15 masters beat the AM1 winner. In 2009, 4 of 11 beat the AM1 winner.

See the Bayville Bash on the schedule as a two-day for June 26/27, but don't see much info. Any ideas on the details? Are they playing just Bayville or Newport News as well?

It happened sometime last weekend. I am unable to access the tournament admin site to upload the info again. Hopefully it will be corrected soon. Congrats to Vinnie Miller for winning the Battlefield Open.

If you really want to cheese off Biscoe (and that's a pretty fun pastime), write him in.
