Have you considered updating the pdga site? It would be helpful.

Not Chris, but if you look a little lower below the Tournament threads, you'll see it spelled out for you on their own thread

Can"t understand the logistics?????????? But I agree that everything got tore up this winter! Sorry about the course. I am sure you and the others at
Farm Disc Golf will have the course in great shape for the Open. I think we are all so glad that the weather has broken for the better.

Much quicker and less typing to just say it means Educational Disc Golf Experience.

But the problem with that is that it begets LAZINESS. (which is already too prevalent in disc golfers)
If you have people look around the board at more than just Event threads, they may stumble onto RULES threads, or the Actual RULES themselves - which would keep the lazy golfers from doing anything besides posting or asking someone else a rules question - then getting the WRONG answer because they didn't want to look it up themselves because someone ALWAYS answers the question instead of SHOWING them where the answer is for them to look it up themselves.

YOU are a rules guy - how can you say that it is easier to just give someone the answer?

Does it seem like I dislike lazy golfers?

JFC - it was also just poking at Shattuck, which is why I put the smiley at the end, and not meant to start any issues with my pals in Virginia.

Default Mid-Atlantic Wide Open 10'

So it's that time of the year again. Getting ready for the third Mid-Atlantic Wide Open.

This again, should be a full tournament with registration filling well before the deadline. The last two years of this event have been a tremendous success so make sure you don't miss out this year.

Some Changes, because of the NT event held in Charlotte on the same day.

For the Open division there will be very few Open players as the majority of our regions top pros will be in NC. This said, I am combining the Open and Open Masters divisions to hopefully make a single large group of open players. Hence, there will not be a Open Masters division offered, although, there will be a Grand Masters division.

This said, there will be the following divisions available:

Open Mens
Mens Grand Masters,
Open Women

Advanced Men,
Advanced Masters,
Advanced Women
Intermediate Men
Intermediate Women

Sorry to hit the wrong nerve Keith. I understand where you're coming from. I see this as different from looking up a rule or a word in the dictionary. But I get your point.

Chris - received your PM - thanks - no you can't have your money back...

Also thank you to all the concerned Disc Golf enthusiasts that assisted in the various possible definitions. Chris had to PM me because it is too bad for the discussion thread.

Mike - You can NEVER hit the wrong nerve with me my friend - I had just come back form playing in Houston where the thought of following what was written in the program or was a rule that should have been played certain ways was - lets just say - not always the way it was suppossed to be.

So I definately was a little touchier when someone I count on to be a helper in searching for answers just blurted it out.

And I'm glad that finally after years of nudging Chuck (and with the new website updates) we got him to put links to the rules and ratings stuff instead of answering the same questions everytime the ratings came out so people would actually have to look stuff up.

Your point about it not being the same as a rules thing is accurate, and I'll watch more what I say on the Virginia thread as Hysell (obviously stiill upset that I crushed him at the Memorial) is on the warpath for anything I post now.

Hey Keith, I'm not upset with you at all. Have you gotten senile once you turned 50? I don't remember playing against you anywhere this year? I would have liked to play against you since you got early tee times and got to play some short tees.

Liar - we played 8 minutes apart and played the EXACT same courses.

Now who is senile?

Tony Dinisio, David Kiss and Allen Smith have mentioned an interest in registering but never followed through. They are not "entered" until payment is recieved.

Registration closes at midnight tonight.
One spot is available for Amateur Saturday, Paypal required
Sixteen spots are available for Pro Sunday. Paypal or PDGA Signup required

I will post the FINAL player list including allocated places in each division tomorrow morning and declare the tournament is full.
Registration requests after midnight tonight will be denied.

It's looking like i'm going to have to skip the MAWO this time around. I'm playing in the Mighty Gaw the Sunday after. Rather play MAWO, but the equation is: Mighty Gaw + 1 hour drive each way vs. MAWO + 5.5 hour drive each way. Dissappointed - i already missed the Loreilla Challenge (too close to moving day!). I'll try to make the Grange Open and exorcise some demons.... Definitely want to make it down for the Battlefield Open.

I miss the VA disc golf scene.
