Tim Dempsey!!!!!! You are the man. Great job with working on the course and new hole maps!.........As for the rest of the club!!!!!! Awesome job as always. New Quarter was a great place to play!!!!
As far as the new pin positions........ they all seem interesting. 10 I didn't like due to the poke-and-hope effect once you got into the woods. Although I am sure once it gets played in; it will shape up nicely. Good job guys! The new pin layout will be GREAT for tournaments but I feel it might be a little intimadating for the new player who has never played before. |

Tim Dempsey did an incredible job overall, but especially on the maps and artwork. Certainly the new pins are meant to attract the pro faction and people like me who don't care how many strokes they take. Beginners should play NN Park. I think the baskets will be left in the new positions for a while so locals can learn them. We may switch to the 3rd position on 1 & 16 sometime soon as well. |

Nice event this year. I was amazed we got it finished. Maybe we should consider having events at longer courses when the days are longer.
Scores?

Wow what a superb, beautiful course and fall weekend!!!
Thank you John Roy and all the volunteers. I captured just a little of the beauty with my cameras Friday and Saturday I'll post them tonight. The course tests your whole game, even on the open holes you need to shape shots and the wooded holes are all sweet too. |

Scores are up!
Thanks to all 122 players that came out this past weekend. Thanks to the whole Keirn Clan for the great job providing a fresh hot lunch both days. Loved the homemade cookies. Thanks Rhonda for the work. The weather was perfect and all the players on Sunday beat sunset barely. That wasn't easy for sure. Congrats to all our winners and please come back.

I just saw that it said Brian Skinner's player rating was 880. I knew that was wrong. I never looked at any others except for mine. John, I am here to help you anytime you need it.

you think that's too high? It will be in the mid to upper 960's after the next update.

Anyone know why a tournament would use the 40% pay scale vs the recommended 45%, especially with added cash? Just wandering.

Because we can. Which scale do you use in the PDGA events that you run? I know when I run an event nothing is up for debate or criticism. I will do what I want.

Thanks Jimmy and everybody else for their appreciation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have spent a lot of time at New Quarter and I know what a beautiful place that it is. It doesn't matter what time of day your there. It's always a great place to play. I may have spent a lot time mowing but I always make time to play. There are great courses in Virginia and I believe New Quarter makes the cut as one those top courses in the state. I am fortunate to have this course near me. York County and specifically Molly Nealer deserves credit for allowing our club to help maintain the course and help make improvements. They have always treated our club and disc golfers very well. If it wasn't for their cooperation, we would have been giving out bug spray in our player's packs. Thank you to the few that were able to get one of the sponsorship discs. I hope that I can create designs that are worthy of wall hanger status. The best part of the weekend was being able to cash and accept it. It makes it official --- Open Master. |

The Fall Colors payout was fat at the top I just wish some of the wealth was spread out to the middle of the field it would not have helped me but I think rewarding deep into the field encourages bottom feeders and that's a good thing. OK jump on me now.
