It could be that he switched to Discraft for a short time.

The fact that Innova has JJ who has won a super tour in open and finished 2nd in an NT in open and has cashed at every USDGC he has played (inlcuding being the only person to ever deny cash in the event) and won an am worlds by 19 strokes on the same team with someone who has never finished higher than 3rd in advanced should answer everyones question when they ask me "why do you not want to sponsored by Innova?"

Like you see in that video, he is a world class hydrofoiler (and kneeboarder too). I think his experience will carry over in a way that will benefit Innova: He has the drive (pun intended), physical tools, and mind to be a top player; and (he mentioned this to me this morning) is that he has ideas on how to use his experience and exposure from his "fame"/reputation (my word, not his) in that niche to help grow the sport of DG into new areas.

How many times has INNOVA asked to sponsor you MTL?

I am pretty vocal in my desire to not be sponsored by one of the three disc companies, that is what I was referring to.

Why would you deny Gateway or Discraft, and how many times have they asked to sponsor you?

I have talked more with Gateway than anyone.
I at one point was briefly talking with Discraft too. I just do not want to be limited in what discs I throw. I hear too many Innova players talk about how much they wish they had the Buzzz and the Wizard and I hear too many Discraft players talk about missing the Roc and the Teebird. Not being sponsored, I have the option to throw any disc I so choose, and I personally like it that way. Not saying that my decision is by any means the majority, in fact it is the extreme minority, but it is just what I feel is best for me.

With that being said,... MTL, IF YOU were to sponsor a player and they left you for a competitor, then came back, Would you be just a little bit worried he might just leave again? Maybe, (this is just conjecture on my part) Innova is just testing the waters, so to speak. Like a trial run, just to see if he will stay around, then maybe they'll move him up. I think he's pretty lucky that Innova took him back. Hopefully, everything will work out for the best. |

He is my Roc throwing Idol. He never should have left. He should give Harold a hug.

Just in case, Innova, if your watching these boards, Thats 3 wins this month for TanK.
With my last one this last weekend in a 2 hole playoff over one of Discrafts' finest, Mr. Cale Leiviska... Watch for it on DGTV, coming to a PC near you... Just thought I would throw that out there... Long like the Max! |

Gotta give Tank prop's. The tourney had some mad wind. It took some serious golf to win it this past weekend.

No, I used the Max to finish par-par-par-par-par, when everyone else was going bogey-double bogey-par-bogey-bogey...
The D-craft guys were flipping brand new Preds, OB, into that 40mph heady. The Max released nice and flat carring 400+, INBOUNDS... It was so windy, I was laying up from 30-35 feet with a Champion Firechicken and setting in my AVIAR to get all my pars... I won't tell you how the playoff went, I'll won't ruin for you guys that will watch it on DGTV.com.. It was suspenseful tho... |

Looks like the tournament director or whoever uploaded those tournament results didn't know how to add course layouts into the PDGA Live Tournament Administration so that par would be correct. Looks like SSA was around 60 in the first round at the first course and 63.5 in the second round at the other course.

Did an Advanced player really a shoot a score in the first round from the same tees as the Pros that was two strokes better than the best Pro score?!?
