Default 2005 Texas States Logo Contest

Texas States will once again take submissions for the tournament logo. The winner will be selected at the July 6th HFDS Board meeting by secret ballot of all members present. The winner of the contest will receive a free entry into Texas States. The tournament logo may be no more than two colors and meet the below guidelines. All logos should be submitted to Tournament Director, John Edwards no later Thank July 1. uncdrummer@hotmail.com, 832-279-8084. I can give you an unpublished email for larger logos.

Texas State logo guidelines:

• Avoid designs that require excessive detail in the center of the disc. There is a nub in the center of the disc that might cause flaws in printing.
• Avoid large Solid areas. Solid areas thicker than a half inch are not recommended. This could cause air bubbles to ruin your discs. A good point of reference is to make no solid area larger than a nickel.
• Do not use half tones when creating your design. To create a shading effect, it's better to use dots or lines of various sizes. The minimum dot per inch (DPI) for your artwork is 25.
• The minimum text size is 12 points. Text should contain no serifs. The minimum size for text with serifs is 28 points and it should be bold. Text should be plain and lack fine detail.
• Artwork for stamping will be at a maximum diameter 4.5 / 11.43 cm inches.
