What is with the south and the civil war? Get over it the right side won and the world is a better place for it. I bet you would not see a disc like this in the north because it's not good sportsmanship to rub the losers face in the mud after you have won.

That is the piont the north won and the south lost get over it. You don't see us flying a northern flag of that time frame on the capital of any of our states, or slaping it in our 1964 ford pick up truck right next to the gun rack.

Not everybody in the south flies or hangs a confederate flag, and to some people it has other meanings. I really dont know where all this is coming from but your generalization is very wrong and I dont believe its a good way to promote such a nice disc. I dont think you would want the southerners to stereo-type notherners as arogant arse holes would you? I am an American born in the north and raised in the south and everybody is different everywhere. The disc is very nice and I am glad you brought it to our attention but I think you should have done it differently without offending half of the beautiful, free country we live in.

My take on the disc; It doesn't matter if you are from the North or the South if you play disc golf. Both uniforms, (hats, i think) are laid down, and the two are out enjoying a round of disc golf. Relax, enjoy life.

The NORTH! I grew up in "the north". There were more outspoken racist morons there than I've ever encountered in "the south"; though we do have our share. In "the south" there is just an abundancy of morons..........................

Having also grown up in "the North" (PA) and having done both undergraduate and post-graduate work in "the North" (OH, NY, MA) and being a member of a visible minority, I must say that I encountered more racism, bigotry, and intolerance—both systemic and individual—in "the North" than I have since moving to NC.

Ahem, as a proud SOUTHERNER and a SOUTHERN NATIONALS player who will be competing in this event. GET OVER IT! In case you didn't notice, this disc honored both the north and south. It is one of the best stamps I've seen in a while and, since I didn't finish the thread before responding to your rather ascerbic rant, it's for the First Annual Southern Nationals Doubles Championships. Ummm…that would be your soccer-mom Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV that you insinuated (but most likely lied about) owning. Not a bad car…but little more than a glorified grocery-getter that wouldn’t know what to do with true off-road terrain if it accidentally strayed from the highway.

I’ll take a stab at this one too, even though it’s such a grammitcally incorrect sentence that its intended meaning is unclear. But, if what you mean to say was “…any SUV that cost more than 40K that you can’t hunt out of…”, I would argue that the M- class fits that case to a tee. Now my Land Rover Disco II, on the other hand, is truly designed for off-road challenges. In fact, it’s one of the most popular safari and hunting vehicles in the world. It’s closer to being a 4x4 truck, while your hypothetical M-class is closer to a station wagon.
