Default Latest NorCal Results

OK, so I am biased but looking through the Forum I did not see anything on two recent tourneys here in Northern California.

Results from the NorCal championships are here:

Results from this past weekend's Faultline Classic (held at DeLaveaga) are here:

Default Santa Cruz

The weather and, of course, the course were awesome last weekend.

This tourney was a fundraiser for a local food bank charity. I think they raised a few hundred dollars and had many canned foods donated to the cause.

Sat. was Halloween and TD Jim was dressed up as that shag-snagger, Austin Powers. The best outfit was worn by Ed Buskirk, who dressed up like Nikko!! Very funny. He even had his walk down to go with his tye-dyed image and huge fro.

I was lucky enough to have Val in my group during the first round. That was a lot of fun for me. Too bad I didn't play very well that round. It ended up costing me.

The first two rounds on Sat. had the course set up fairly easy and there were a lot of good scores. There were a couple of aces: Rubin Alaniz and RJ Jerez from what I hear.
The last round had the course in the long, long. Always very challenging.

Except for the poison oak on my left arm, I had a great time and it was good to see the Faultline up and running again after a one year hiatus. Any tourney held there is my favorite.

I didn't play in the NorCal finals, so I can't post anything about that tourney. KL

Thanks Kenny -- that was the sort of local color I was hoping for! I've been struck lately how little presence Norcal has on this forum given the number of people who play in our tournaments and the fact that some of the country's top Open & Masters players call Norcal their home. No biggie but if people who play more competitively can post results, funny stories, etc. it would be great.
