Default New course in Greenville, North Carolina

There is currently a new 18 hole course being installed in Greenville, NC. This is going to be a public course and involves the Recreation and Parks Dept of Greenville and the newly formed Greenville Disc Golf club. Work has all ready begun on the course. If anyone knows the course that is all ready in Greenville at ECU, the know it is a short course, not that anything is wrong with this. The main reasons we need this new course is the amount of traffic on the ECU course, the type of course and the public has no type of authority with the course since it is owned by the university. The new course will have 2 tee pads on most of the holes (14) and they will be cement pads along with tee signs. The Rec/Parks dept has been very very cooperative with the club and has done all we have asked so far. The biggest issue we will have to contend with is raising the money for the course. We are going about this by offering sponsorships on the holes. The tee signs will have the company's or person's name on half of it(the signs are 12 x 18). When a hole is sponsored, that will cover the cost of basket, tee and tee sign. Another nice thing is we will be a non-profit orginization soon so that should set well with potential sponsors.
This is a learning project for all those involved but things so far are going well and problems that come up are being solved. Hopefully by the end of 2004, we can have monthly's and other tourneys out there and in 2005 have a weekend event. If anyone is interested or has advice or even just wants to chat about the course, please feel free to respond to this or email me at ScottyNo2@aol.com. Have a good day and a better round.
