I use the Innova tour bag and i think it is real sturdy as far as stitching and straps and what not.

However, I am a big fan of my wifes bag it is a Disccraft. What I like about hers is the bottom is rubber (not heavy) but she has had it 2 years still looks new. With the rubber bottom rain is no problem as far as soaking or even dewey grassy fields. One of the biggest problems with the others is the bottom gets wet and it messes it up.

Same here, I've had the Discraft elite pro bag (big one), for over a year. I've gone through monsoons with my bag, with the rubber bottom it just won't get wet.

I've had good luck with my Lightning 20 Disc bag with Quad shocks.
I've had it about 2.5 years and it still looks great. (of course the inside is full of old sunflower seeds, trash collected from the course, etc. Maybe I should stop typing and clean it out.. . . )
I flew from ATL to Boston last week and took it with me as checked baggage. It survived the trip up and back with no damage. I saw som Samsonite luggage come through baggage claim that looked pretty rough!
I'll probably ante up for a Revolution bag, but not until this one finally gives up the ghost!

Thanks everyone, for all the well thought out input. I gotta say that everything but the price tag is very attractive about revolutions "Carolina" edition. I really like the extra drink holder.

I'm in a similar situation. My Innova beginner bag is not holding up too well

I had my mind set on the club bag, but the Carolina bag is making me think twice

Default Need a bag....

I need a bag. Plain and simple. I don't have a lot of money to spend, but I have discs that I could trade.

I have 3 used CE Firebirds(2 are FLs...1 of the FLs is a first run CE Firebird). I also have a first run CE EL, and I have a 10x roc(180 i think).

I will be willing to trade all of that to anyone that can get me a brand new red revolution pro bag and some quad shocks(they can be used but in good shape). I think it will be a fair trade. If you are interested, send me a message.

I have tried trader's row, but I haven't had any luck on there.

Last time I looked, the Revolution did not have a "pro" bag. But their Team bags were $100 and the Quad Shocks were $40. Thats a total of $140, even if you got the mini bag by revolution those are $40. And if you got the mini bag you would not need quad shocks.

I know that some people value CE plastic very high, but I doubt that 5 used discs equal $140 yet even $40.

If you do not have a bag yet, why would you want to go with one of the biggest on the market? I would reccomend you start off relatively small and cheaper. The innova standard bag retails for about $25 and is the same size as the revolution mini bag. Good luck though.

He obviously doesn't know the value of CE plastic. I already got an offer to trade the first run CE FL for a pair of quadshocks.

And yes my bag was stolen with about $150 dollars worth of discs in there. I have been using a small bag for the past 3 months and it sucks now because there are a lot of time where I need a certain disc but I don't have it because I don't have room.

And yes, When I said "pro bag" I meant the team bag. I couldn't remember off of the top of my head what they were called.

I used to have an innova tour bag, but they are crap. It was falling apart and it wasn't because of me. One day I was playing and the bag just fell off of the quadshocks. My friend's bag is ripping apart at the seams and he has already had to do surgery on it.

Gateways backpack bag is pretty nice, and holds enough discs too. Pretty easy on your back, and with no need to acquire Quads.

The CHEAT is grounded. We installed that light switch so you could turn the lights on, and off. Not so you could throw lightswitch raves. Now let's go break open that glowstick and pour it in Homestar's Mountain Dew.

Actually what I do not understand is why people will spend so much money on something they will ultimately throw into a tree or cement.

I do appreiciate and value different molds. IE San Marino Rocs, however I have found that a well seasoned second run Buzz flies just as reliable and true.

Thats a bummer about your bag being stolen. You would think that disc golfers would be more honest then that.

But also when it comes to rare discs, art is truely in the eye of the beholder. Where I may only value a CE disc in good condition for $15 someone else would pay $60. If I was the seller I would definately sell it for $60 in that case. To each his own.

I hope you find out who stole your bag.

Eh...it is gone for good. My bag was stolen over the summer.

It is the second bag that I heard of stolen in Raleigh. The other is now a sponsered pro(JJ Jernigan)

Out of curiousity, why did you choose the Revolution bag over the Gateway bag?

Thats a really good question... lets just say i had a deal i couldnt refuse to buy a new revo bag...and I won a pair of quad shocks...

when i bought the backpack bag, i originally wanted the revolution bag, but didnt want to pay the money for it and the quadshocks...the backpack bag was a good comprimise- $100 bucks sounded better than $150 at the time... when i got the deal i got for the revo, i coudlnt resist. the backpack bag was great though! i like the extra storage pocket the revo back includes.

Does the backpack bag have 2 drink holders or is the angle weird on the picture that is on the website?

I never play without mine unless I forget it. But I keep it set to vibrate only at PDGA's and usually other organized events and vibrate-then-ring for casual rounds. It's mostly for emergencies during events...and not too effective for such unless it gets an e-mail because I only feel it if I have my bag on.

I think many people carry theirs, including me... but 1) why would you need a separate pocket for it, and 2) just keep it off... check your phone after the round...too many times last year people's phone went off during a putt or drive...
