Default Grand Central Station Disc Golf Course

Hey Folks,

I'm going to try to have a tournament at Grand Central on the weekend of March 16, 17 2013. I'm looking for any input/ideas about what type of tournament to have. Please leave feedback on what you'd like to be a part of for an Upstate SC tournament. Thanks!

you can email me at bryanschaupp@bellsouth.net

We're thinking of hosting South Carolina Doubles Championship on this weekend.

It would be a great place to have it. Check with Alan Beaver (State coordinator) first to confirm the date if you are going to sanction it.

Yepper, checked with him before I posted, think we're good to go. Still plenty of time for input but as of now we're moving in the direction of SC Dubs since Adam isn't doing them this year. 1,000.00 added to pro purse and better TD'ing on my part to make Am payout proper! I think we could leave Tough Shot in if we play alt tees on all the par 4's. Whatcha think?

I haven't played the tough shot format in doubles but it seems to be popular. The added cash sounds nice but I really wonder how much that effects players decision on whether or not they play in a tournament. I've always played events because of the course and could care less about player packages or payouts. I've always thought that since ams make up 60% to 65% of most tournament fields, TD's should boost their payout instead of the pros, especially if filling the event is the main concern. (but that's just me). Glad your doing it and hope to make it. I'm sure what ever format you go with will be a success based on the quality of the course.

Ok, looks like we're going with SC Doubles Championship at Grand Central Station Disc Golf Course in Central, SC on March 16th and 17th of 2013. Thanks for the input, hope to see you there!
