Even better would be the ability to choose the states/regions from which the member info gets pulled. Info for 3-4 states might work for krupicka out in the midwest, but up here in the northeast, we're pulling players from 7-8+ states for the bigger events. One generic range might not work for everyone.
The dataset that the Tournament Manger is checking against consists of the entire PDGA membership, past and present. It's performing all the checks you need automatically based on the tournament your running.

Jerry, I'll send you a PM with information on how to get set up to test the new Tournament Manager so you can check it out first hand.

Is there an issue with the new uploader? Tried entering live scores to my event (http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/79400/1817348731) at lunch and it registers them in the admin portal, but nothing updates on the results page, it still shows the registration details. Tried after round two, same problem, and have just uploaded from the spreadsheet, same problem

According to the schedule, your event is not supposed to begin until tomorrow, September 16th. If that was just an error made during the sanctioning process, I can fix that for you by changing the date to September 15th. Let me know.

This one may be a harder fix, but maybe you could put it on your list?

If you hover on Membership, click on Player Ratings, and then click on Am Men or Am Women, the amateur results usually include pros who registered as amateurs but have taken pro cash. If you hover on Membership, click on Player Statistics and then select any amateur division to sort by points, the list usually will include pros who have amateur points from having competed under the Pros Playing Am rule.

It would be nice if these searches only pulled up amateurs.

Statistics will get a major overhaul in the future. It will take some time to get it to where we want it to be, but it will be well worth the wait.

Is that supposed to still be working? It used to work for me, but no longer.

I don't get the PDGA Tourney page player location tool tips with Win7Home w/ Firefox 15, nor Win7Home w/ IE9.

However I do get tool tips for other things... like when composing a reply to this vBulletin forum post if I mouse over this guy: in the Smilies panel I get the tool tip "Confused". Or when viewing the thread, if I mouse over Steve's pic I get the tool tip "steveganz's Avatar".

I can see it on this one - http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/96448

Maybe its only working for events that are still unofficial?

That's correct. I originally implemented this just for events "in progress" aka "Unofficial Results". At some point this feature will be enhanced so that you'll get a mini-profile of the player.

Ah ha, that's it. I'm guessing if it were easy to do for "Official Results" as well you would have already done it.

I tried to check on the dates for Pro and Am Worlds using the Tour Schedule but it would not go to 2013. I was not sure if that was a feature of a bug. Maybe nothing has been put on the schedule for 2013 yet.

I'm sure I'll find the dates some other way. The girls and I are planning a late December trip to KC and we thought we'd check out the Emporia courses if we could find any information.

A little Google action finds the 2013 Pro Worlds dates on PDGA.com as Aug 3-10 with 2013 Am Worlds in Emporia on July 7-14.

Nothing has been posted to the schedule yet.

A good place to start for information on Major Events is:

http://www.pdga.com/pdga-major-events

For World Championships:

http://www.pdga.com/world-championships

Both available under the site navigation menu under PDGA Tour. See attached screenshot.

2013 Majors and NTs have been posted to the schedule. Here's a handy link for you:

Question Rules School Articles

Steve - any way to get all the Rules School articles linked to from the PDGA Rules page? Also, it'd be nice if they were available in a version formatted for printing.

I need to update the previous ones that are out-of-date and those old ones should not be linked in if not correct due to rule changes.

Chuck, if you could compile a list of links to articles that are appropriate for linking, I will make sure they are referenced appropriately from the Rules section.

Eric, are you talking about a printed version of the Rules School articles or the Rules themselves?

Steve, I've got a few more Rules School updates to complete before we do this. We dont want to refer players to outdated info. I think Eric wants PDFs so maybe we should just have those as Rules School doc links somewhere on the Rules page? You have the latest one on Mandos to get started.

Take your time, Chuck.

Every page published on PDGA.com, including the Rules School articles, are automatically formatted for printing. Try it for yourself.

I printed the article from the website to PDF. It's not too bad but the PDGA header and ads are included. Is there a way to print just the story content to PDF? It sounded like Eric just wanted to download a formatted PDF for offline use and printing.

I just made an adjustment to exclude the ads and the right hand column to allow the content to take up the entire width of the page. It should be formatted very nicely for printing now.

Generally speaking, we're trying to get away from creating PDFs for everything and let web pages serve as the source from which we can format documents dynamically for whatever device you want to output to, including printers.

Excellent, Steve. That makes those docs much nicer for offline reading.

The actual Rules School articles.

Printing them from the website often results in the pictures & diagrams breaking across page boundaries:

I usually print out the rules Q&A at 2 or 4 pages per sheet to have a nice compact version to put in my DG bag... I thought it'd be useful to have the Rules School articles as well.
