This goes in the category of "Any publicity is good publicity". I went and saw the comedian Ron White Saturday night and he had a joke where "Frisbee golfer" is the punch line. The joke is talking about Tiger Woods and his infidelity with the idea that if his wife should not expect fidelity because she married the world's most famous golfer so she should have married the world's most popular frisbee golfer instead. I was just encouraged that the entire audience laughed so presumably the majority of them knew what frisbee golf was. On the downside I took lots of grief from everyone who knows me and saw that show

That reminds me of an idea I had a few years ago. What if we launched a nationwide day of calling into Talk Radio and bringing up the topic of Disc Golf?
Locally would probably be easier than Nationwide, but it would be worth it. I did this once and it prompted a 5 minute discussion on the subject.

On Friday May the 11th I want to see if we can put disc golf in the public eye a little more. So I am wanting to try to have everyone Search on Yahoo for Disc golf as often as you can to see if we can get it trending. Thanks! and feel free to pass the word along. This is also the day before the womens global disc golf event...that is why that day was chosen.
