Big thanks goes out to the 36 people that came to play the River last night...

Great weather and lots fun..

Remember that until further notice the Riverside mini's will be teeing off at 6:30...

We had some extra fun last night as we played hole 8's tee to 9's basket and then 9's tee to 8's basket! " someone hit the cage of 8's basket off a skip"

Glad to see so many new faces every week!

Riverside mini tonight at the new tee time of 6:30.

This should give people more time to make it and give us a cooler time to play..

Flex times allowed so come out to the River and get some practice in for the Glide..

Flyers and sign up sheets will be available tonight..

As always, head to Leon's after the mini for $1.00 tacos and $5.00 domestic beer pitchers..

Not too shaby..

www.showmetheline.com

The 46 in Novice was and is being addressed..

Be sure to get it posted to the Tulsa Disc golf thread on FB, and the other Tulsa Disc golf thread on FB.

In addition you might try the Tulsa Urban Weekely, the Thrifty Nikel.
For those shooting 40's and playing novice you might try announcing that in the Tulsa Crime Weekly.

The top 6 in nov's should all be addressed. Not just the ones in the 40's. The top two should be moved up to Adv as their "prize".

Not possible..........

This has gone on longer that you have known what disc was. All we can do is when it happens, start limiting their division choices and force them up. The rest is up to the other players to tell them where they need to go. No one wants to play where everyone is unpleasent with you. Each division in Ams knows who the baggers are, you just have to remind them everytime you see or play with them.

Seems like Daniel and Mike used to bag together right under Furdogs nose...

they went from AM to NOV alot in 2009, and still believe they are NOVs.

Why do you think I don't run minis anymore.

There is no excuse for these low-life free-loading baggers and I got tired of looking at them. I would even pay farther down the novice ranks out of my own pocket so the real nov's wouldn't get discouraged.

They are the "Casey Anthony's" of DG and don't deserve their name in the newspaper let alone here on this board.

Justice will only come to them when DG vigilantes key the word "Bagger" on the side of their cars. They can fill the scratches with all the plastic they are winning.

You'll probably see them back for the Glide as well and probably under a different name so as not to gain the attention of Treat.

Why pay a PDGA membership when you can just pay the $10 non-member fee and clean-up in nov?

Per another post, I spoke with Adrian at Innova and the handicap/league system at DGU is his baby.

They are not accepting any more leagues this year because they are making a bunch of changes.

I am seriously considering using it next year. We have a lot of historical data to input and we can get 98% of the players a handicap over the winter.

Not sure if this is the solution but it might be. I hear of a lot of other clubs utilizing a league system so maybe it would work here.

I remember when we went to Huntsville TX for the Master tournament this year. Eric McCabe was there.

He had played a local mini that used handicapping. He was beat by a Rec player.

How cool would that be??

Like I told you buddy.

Separate minis. PDGA rated players and TDSA members in one group, free loading riff-raff in the other group.

PDGA / TDSA group gets payout at wholesale cost with $1 TD service charge.

Riff Raff group gets payout at retail cost with $2 TD service charge for having to put up with them.

I'm starting to think Wise was right all along.

You could also use a points-based system; 3 for a win, 2 for second, 1 for third (if paid out). If a novice accumulates 7 points then they must move up (or if their score ties/beats the next division up that day). Intermediates move up after 10 points, and Adv moves up whenever they're getting tired of winning plastic.

Its not a long-term solution, but for the short-term, until the handicapped system is in place. It could be an option.

And I completely agree, TDSA members should get perks. Non-TDSA members should only be able to win DX or Pro plastic, on TDSA members can win Star and Champion, wouldn't that throw a little wrench into the system.

Fodder for the herd.

Will this be the "normal" 18, or will there be special "Matt Treat" holes?
