***MOHAWK WARNING****
I drove through Mohawk at lunch and I have NEVER seen that many people in the park. Every possible parking spot was taken and there were cars all over the fields. I know it is spring break but I am not sure why virtually every parent in Tulsa has taken their kids to the Zoo today!!!

When you promote your event on my mountain you need to think big, go bold, and start with.... TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!! FUNNY CARS!!!...STRIPPERS!!!...FREE GASOLINE!!!  Do I have to send Slim up there with a copy of the TD rules???

You are correct. My first out of state tourney I hopped in the car and drove to Nashville and stayed with my dad. Got up the next morning and drove an hour north to Bowling Green Kentucky. I still remember that tourney like it was yesterday and was probably the most fun I have had to date. That being said, I was SINGLE, great job (still have), and had FREE room and board the whole time I was there. That is the major issue with alot of players like myself, Gary H., Seth Cook, and alot of the other advanced players. That and now my girlfriend tells me what to do, lol.
Then when we do go down there in a caravan like a year and a half ago, we get are @ss kicked on a course like Tyler offers and it takes our ratings a year to recover. I think alot of people don't want to risk destroying their ratings and that is why they stay home. Myself somewhat included, but not totally for that reason. I aslo love to play new layout's so I am torn. In the end it's still all about the Benjamin's... |

Screw ratings. They don't get you anything but restrictions the higher they are. It doesn't matter what your rating is, what matters is how you play that round that day.

Wise is correct..."Protecting your rating" is dumb.
Your rating is not accurate if you don't finish your round or don't play difficult courses because you might not shoot lights out... Great too see several guys from Oklahoma signed up for Glass Blown!
