the orange ones seem to be very stable as well, i dont use beasts for over-stability so i was trying to figure out which ones are less stable. i was throwing the yellow ones and they had a nice turn, but i cant find many of them.

yeah when I say "stable" I mean it is straight...
if your looking for something understable just throw a lighter disc... if that does not work try the orc...

i was just looking for a normal star beast, the orange one was freakishly overstable for a beast. i got some white ones and they are normal like the yellow ones. the plastic looks the same as well. |

my destroyers are my long balls. they imediately replaced my wraiths as such. the old mold beasts i have in my bag have replaced the orcs altogeather. the best orcs that i have thrown for consistancy and control were the tulsa worlds special blends.(multiple aces with different disc all were tulsa orcs.) when i throw a beast i dont expect the disc to finish stable at all. when i throw my destroyers they flip nicely and rarely flip understabel, however they finish very straight at the end of their flight. |

Maybe, but they're not on the schedule right now.

Probably not regular production, but we will run all plastics from time to time and will have them available through channels other than CFR at some point.

The CFR winners have been picked and notified for December and January. The web site had not been updated, but will be soon.

dave,
the 2005 usdgc ken climo 4x glow rocs are amazingly durable, predictable flying discs, and the secondary market has steadily started going through the roof, pricewise. my question is what do you remember about the manufacturing, comments, etc about the disc when it came out? i have also heard that the glow champion plastic used for them was in fact CE plastic - is that true? thank you for your time.

Doubtful... Glow Champion does age like CE though, and is usually slightly more overstable for some reason. Throwers I have talked with have said the "Battle Roc" is actually a better Roc than the original '01s, or even a poor mans '01. Not anymore really, as the Battles are getting very pricey.

Dave, I am a Pig lover. IMO I think it is the best headwind putter out there. Will they ever make a Champ Pig? If so, when? Thanks!

I can't say right now, but I suspect we can't make them light enough in Champion. If we can, we probably will at some point.

Would the same problems apply for Star / Echo Star?

Yes. Specific gravity for those materials is much higher than for R-Pro or DX. The same volume of plastic is heavier for the high tech plastics.

Dave,
I was throwing the Wedge today and was thoroughly surprised by the disc. I really enjoyed the flight, however I don't want to invest in the DX for durability reasons. The star first run stamps are pretty limited and retailers have marked them up. Is there a chance we will see the Wedge run in star with the stock stamp? The disc is very versatile and I would really like to have one in my bag for utility and tough "out" shots. Also, I really like the feel of the new Tanks. Hope to see more of these. Thanks, Zach J |

Is the DX TeeRex stamp, with graphic of a T. Rex, ever used for other plastics? Why not?

Not sure right now, but probably because our supply of Pro plastic is iffy at times. Sometimes we have a lot, and sometimes we can't get it. A couple of years ago we had to restrict the models to a few.

We only use images for DX as a way to differentiate for normal stamped stock.

That's a good question. Don't know why we never got around to running a Champion TeeRex. We probably should have started with Champion. Maybe it was in CFR, but even then, it should have been released later.
