While it could possibly happen at some point in the future, we have no current plans to do so. Sorry.

Default Zephyrs / beast

.

Could you do a Zephyr run in Black for me Daddy-O?

Have you ever done Zephyr's in GLOW?

Do you see an Echo Star Beast in the near future??

Thanks.

p.s. - your video post on forehand really helped me out.

We can run Zephyr's in black. Don't know when they are scheduled. I don't know if we have run them in glow, but I don't think so.

Echo Star Beast will be run. Hopefully very soon.

Dave,
Not sure if this has been asked yet, but is there chance we will see some of the discmania drivers run in echo star? I think alot of people would dig an echo pd.
Thanks,
Zach J.

That is up to Discmania, but it might be a good idea at some point.

We will have to wait a while to try the PD in Echo, but we have a new driver for Discmania in right now and we are going to test shoot that in Echo S.

I asked Jussi about this, and he said it would be a while.

Those are proto DD2s. P-Line. Not Echo, but we will be testing Echo in this model.

Gotcha. Thanks Dave.

Have you thrown the DD2? Was the small groove on the top a conseqence of the molding process, or is it actually designed into the top. I was under the impression that all of the Discmania drivers shared the "Anhyzer" top, and the groove isn't present on any of their other molds.

my buddy has an Innova Champion Discs Inc Aviar putter. We are trying to figure out when it was made. It is red with gold writing and says Aviar big across the front . We are thinking mid 80's. any clues help us out!

The groove is an artifact of molding the DD2. I have thrown the DD2 quite a bit both side arm and backhand.

So Dave, can you tell us a little bit more about the DD2? I have heard comparisons of a cross between a Boss and Katana. The flight rating given from Mark on Ebay kinda confirmed that, but while testing it what was it like?

***Oh and the DD2s that are on Ebay for the EDGE program - what type of plastic is that?

Thanks!

The discs on Ebay are P-Line. They fly in between a Katana and Boss for flight characteristic, but as fast as a Katana with maybe more glide. Very easy to throw relative to the Boss. More controllable, relative to the Katana. Stable enough to not have to worry about flipping them easily. Lots of distance.

Dave,
Have they ever made the TL in champion plastic and are there any plans to do so in the future?

Yes, we have in the past, but had some problems with bubbles in the rim so they weren't widely distributed. We will run some when we can. Hopefully by next season when we have a little more room to operate.

I don't know off hand, but I will find if there is a difference. If you're interested in a more stable Mako, try a Champion Coyote.

Thanks, I might check out a coyote sometime. I have found the 1st run makos to be more domey and less stable, the regular run seems to be flatter and stable, and the echo star varies. Isnt there a discmania version of the mako with a bead?

Discmania has the MD1 and MD2. The MD1 would be more similar than the MD2. The MD1 is a little more stable than an Ontario Roc. The suggestion to try the Champion Mako is good.

Dave,
Being as how you're signed up for the event, do you know what CFR discs are planning on being offered at Duos in the Desert next weekend? I'm looking forward to meeting you and some other folks in the DG history books at the tournament.

I don't know about CFR discs for this event, but I believe Mark at discgolfvalues would know if there are any. He sells them for Vegas sometimes.

If you are running a tournament you can order them. You just cant get them in normal retail. I still have a stack of BDGA Tournament Series stamped ones from a few months ago.
