You have done great things at Chandler but lately you have just become a pain in the arse. Right now Chandler is the best it has EVER been but only because of Moose Run. Without that it would still be the pitch-n-putt on the hill. I commend you for taking the time to push the new course through and getting it put in.
Good Job! But you're still an ******!

Mentioning mully punch cards is only a fraction of what will be needed. Do you have anything that will generate income or increase membership over a long period of time?

The proposal I made is not a solve all for the club, it was an idea. But is an idea with data to back it up. I think we need to have several plans for funding over the long term. While the club has done well since Worlds, we have not grown to where we should be in membership and funding sources to allow us to secure a major.

Do us all a favor, take half the time you spend on trashing any idea I have and come up with something. Keeping in mind, we need to raise over 10K in the next 3-4 years. This is also money that needs to be above the current club collections.

I have another idea that could generate income but I will save that for some other time. This one does not involve taxing any players and doesn't have anything to do with the mini structure.

I'm also trying to come up with $400 for Centenial so I can buy the 1st two benches.
My goal is to come up with enough for 9 benches over the next year. Is it enough? No, it will take a few years, unless the City has a windfall of money from somewhere. I will continue to work on Centennial without club money. It was always my goal to see a course installed and maintined without club funds. Why? The club CANNOT and should not have to support every course in the metro area. While it may not be a "Club Course" as you call it, any TD is welcome to host an event out there. How can you complain about them having access to another course without having to fund it?

So, we can all agree, YOU don't like the idea the club voted on.
Solution: Come up with a better idea!

Even better, come up with more than one idea. All club members should be thinking about this. They all benefit from the results. More members and better courses = better players and bigger events.

Even as a "Pitch & Putt" it generated more money than Owasso.

Mentioning mully punch cards is only a fraction of what will be needed. Do you have anything that will generate income or increase membership over a long period of time?

Well for income the club could start charging you an extra $1 per disc they sell you for events that don't benefit the club.

The proposal I made is not a solve all for the club, it was an idea. But is an idea with data to back it up. I think we need to have several plans for funding over the long term. While the club has done well since Worlds, we have not grown to where we should be in membership and funding sources to allow us to secure a major.

That could also be because in this sport people come and go Dave. Just like you in the old days. You played DG but then you got married and had kids and it wasn't important to you anymore.

Do us all a favor, take half the time you spend on trashing any idea I have and come up with something. Keeping in mind, we need to raise over 10K in the next 3-4 years. This is also money that needs to be above the current club collections.

Your focus seems to be on large PDGA events like an Am Worlds when we haven't even blown up the Am Jam yet. When is the last time you ever saw only 67 or so at the Glide? Then look at the 100+ at both Duff events? Not that Treat that did a bad job but it seems the tide has turned locally against the PDGA sanctioned events. Duff's first event alone brought in $200.

You want to talk course improvements then yes that is where your idea should be benefiting.

I'm also trying to come up with $400 for Centenial so I can buy the 1st two benches. My goal is to come up with enough for 9 benches over the next year.

If a suitable bench only costs $200 then I'll check with Marie and see if she wants to go in half with me on one. We'll do it through the ODGF and we will want our names on it Tweety.

That way you will only have to find 8 more arch-enemies that care about you enough to donate.

While it may not be a "Club Course" as you call it, any TD is welcome to host an event out there. How can you complain about them having access to another course without having to fund it?

The Rose Throw was good but the club should think about per year, how many outside fundraiser events it is willing to support and give up weekend mini money for. Are you going to want to do another one next year?

Even better, come up with more than one idea. All club members should be thinking about this. They all benefit from the results. More members and better courses = better players and bigger events.
More Duff.....Less Fluff.

Where does Centennial come into this? It isn't a "club course" but the club has benefited from it being there. They have used it in tournamnets and there are several new players coming out of Owasso.

What part of the word major keeps you coming back to another Am worlds?

I said major, that could be any type of event but with major status. That could even be the Am Jam.

I'll do another Rose Bowl, if the band needs it. Now since you're going to knock my fundraiser, how about the Untited Way, the Food Bank, the SPCA, Chandler Stock (the club doesn't make money off of it, so it should be listed also) and the Crow Throw, also Holiday Skins, bag tag match play.................

There are several Fund Raiser Tournaments that do not provide income for the club.

Also, how is it that an individual can run an event and make some money from it but the club run tournaments always seem to break even, or lose a little?

And the biggest question you have continuously avoided.................

Other than a swag pack, what does a member get in benefits over a non-member?

And don't bring up club picnic and voting rights, because the members really don't see that as a benefit, I know I don't.

And what ever your answer is, I don't care, I'm out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who benifits more? The club from Centennial or Centennial from the club with advertising, player draw from Tulsa, selling you payout at cost?

the Untited Way, = Real Charity

the Food Bank = Real Charity

the SPCA = Real Charity

Chandler Stock (the club doesn't make money off of it, so it should be listed also) well a second course for their minis came out of the deal but if you feel more is needed then I'll collect for the club next year if it makes you happy.

Crow Throw? Don't know.

Holiday Skins,Don't know but a non-members money seems to be just as good as a member if you're the member taking the cash.

bag tag match play....Not sure what Duff is doing because it hasn't happened yet.

The Rose Throw? Other than looking good in front of your kid I don't know.

There are several Fund Raiser Tournaments that do not provide income for the club.

That's right so what if every member wants to exercise the same thing you did? Only 52 weekends available. At what point do we limit them if ten other members want to raise money for their kids band or school? Advertising is one thing but making it exclusive is another.

Also, how is it that an individual can run an event and make some money from it but the club run tournaments always seem to break even, or lose a little?

Not sure but I'm in favor of collecting the $1 or $2 per player.

I don't know because I don't see that many members on the mini result sheets that are supporting more than the majority of non-members. Perhaps we should hook them up with a joint, a six-pack of beer, and free admission to Night Trips. I don't think we would have to force membership then.

And waht ever your answer is, I don't care, I'm out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's it. Fly away Tweety bird. I'll still be here when you come back.

As for who benefits more, Centennial or the club, I'd say its mutual. the club has another course to use, with multiple layouts. Centennial gets the use of the club's schedule. Why is it you are the only one to complain about Centennial? The only thing I can come up with, is pure jealousy!

Disc at cost? Maybe but I do not keep any of what is made. Can you say that? Can any other TD? There are TDs in town chomping at the bit for Chandler, why? They want to make money! Plain and simple! That is their main objective. Not to put it back in the course but in their pocket.
I have never made one dollar for my pocket from Centennial and the club has never had to give a dollar to that course. Name me one other course like that.

Other than the $1 dollar they give to the club where do all the profits from plastic on Ams go? Does Gorrila Ray at Riverside get to sell hotdogs down there for free? He11 no he doesn't, he has to give the city a cut. So why is it that TD's get to do this with nothing from profits going back to the club? He11 they can't even get their plastic if not for the club.

You need to get off your high horse, off my arse and get a life!
And quit trying to shiet on everyone else because your life sucks!

With your logic, we should just do away with the club. No members needed. No admins needed. They obviously do not provide anything that a normal non-member can't get on their own. You are the biggest detrimment to the clubs objectives of rasing money and membership.

You really want to help the club?

QUIT!!!! RESIGN!!! GO AWAY!!!!

If I were still an admin we would have already had a vote to have you removed for your direct actions and statements against them, when you CHOSE to not show up and vote on it you lost your right to biatch.

Why was it you didn't show up? Too busy looking for ways to trash me?

Does this mean you don't want Marie and I to donate a bench for Centennial?

Well maybe you're right. Every TD is a business man though some maybe more than others. With the profit margin over cost maybe we all should be kicking in an extra $1 per disc eh?
"BE FEST" will be a series of single minis ran during the music festival through out the day at normal club $5 entry. I am looking for TD's willing to forgo their profit and volunteer their time to run one mini only throughout the weekend with all disc sales and profits directly into the TDSA course improvement fund. Would you be willing to donate your time to run one of these? All you have to do is pick a time slot, either course, do sign ups and issue payout vouchers.

There is nothing wrong with making a profit on a mini but don't come at me like I've got some private cash cow out here.

Well....Dave started it.

It is like "Gotcha" posting because you show up expecting information and we "Gotcha" with the never ending "Days of Our Lives" soap.

On top of that....Treat's thread needs the "views" because his thread is about 6000 views behind mine.

man, it was WINDY..... I had 3 shots hit by the basket and the wind just blew them right by and OB. Was able to circle 3 two of those but ouch that hurts. Wilkes told me he was 2 big coming into 7 when I first started so it obviously affected most of the players. Still an awesome feeling to not break a sweat in a summer mini!!!! Thank you Treats, had fun as usual.

Please accept my most humble apology. I knew the term seemed familiar but honestly I thought it was from the Tulsa Drag Strip.

In hindsight, I guess their line was Sunday Sunday!!!
