Hey folks, we have an opportunity to introduce several Special Olympic athletes and their families to Disc Golf at Bell Park on Saturday, Sept. 11th

preliminary details looks like running from 10am to 2 pm that day, unsure as of yet how many people to expect

this is part of a "Family Fun Day" at Bell Park in association with the area Special Olympics

we need several volunteers and probably some donated plastic to do this right, kinda like what we did with the Boy Scouts a while back

You know I will be in on that one! I had seen a thing about disc golf in Special Olympics a while back, and was wondering where all it was happening at. Any ideas on #'s of athletes? I would love to get enough disc for all to take one away..... what would it take to go for that? I bet we could find a place to donate for this cause......

Anybody heard the saying "Patience is a Virtue" !!!!! Yesterday's mini was an example of good things come to people that utilize this philosophy !!!!!!

After waiting about 1.5 hrs. for the rain and lightning to stop !!!!!! The clouds parted and with a rainbow in the background, we got to play disc golf in spring like conditions in the River Valley in August !!!!!!!

OK, the Special Olympic folks have no idea how many to expect for this (1st time they've done it), I've been waiting for some idea of number of folks participating to make a game plan - looks like we're winging it now

Basically set up, 9 am Saturday, Sept. 11th
run from 10am to 2pm

this is for Special Olympic Athletes AND their families

supposed to be a "Family Fun Day", I know that First Tee, a Tennis Org and an ATV Org are setting up also

I have ideas on a few "learning stations" to set-up

I need HELP though, able bodied volunteers and more discs to use at these stations
