... a side-note about this "9524" fellow (John Gumby Barton) ... he is carrying some Haikey Classic entry-forms with him ... it's all set-up and cool to fill-out and pay-entry to Gumby anytime you can catch him through the week ...
.
.
... so ,
.
.

... if you wanna be smart ... if you wanna get on in ... drop your entry with Mr.Barton ... then you can just polish-up your plastic and get ready ... thanks again , Gumby ...

Never mind, forgot who I was responding too.

Will this be a 6:00 tee time or a 6:00 mini with a 6:30 tee off?

Default New DGC in Tulsa (short nine hole)

The latest disc golf course installation in the Tulsa area is now in the ground at the OU Schusterman Center (Southwest corner of 41st and Yale...West of Promenade Mall). This nine-hole DGC runs along the South side of the campus. If you would like to see a rough course map, post your email addy (or PM it to me) and I will email you the document.

I would have attached the rough course map to this post, but apparently this discussion board only allows microscopic files in size to be attached to posts.

DGA Mach V baskets...

Played Lake Ponca course today with Ron C. I honestly think that course is longer than dovillio, plus knee high grass till they mowe it again. I think this layout is one of the toughest I have played as far as being wide open but still having some trees. If you get the chance, go play it. I shot 6 big with 1 bird, 1 bird spit, and a looooong birdie spit. Ron shot -3. And thats why he's the course pro, lol.

I just heard North Shore in Fayetteville is getting 18 pads of concrete this morning.

I know Tulsa owes them some help but man, didn't get but about 8 hours warning.

I wish them the best of luck and it will be great to have pads on that course.

there was only one hole this bad.... I finally found my disc and split the trees with an anny breeze and hit dead center chains and spit, so no bird here.

Hey Duff, since it is an involuntary loss, you should be able to receive subsidies from the club to off set an losses you may have suffered.

No subsidies for non-current TDSA members of which YOU are one ALSO!!!

We current members have a name for you guys. "Swag Baggers"!!!

Guys that would normally renew at the first of the year but have purposely waited until the new club membership swag has become available.

Check the list because there are many and IMO their admin votes at recent meetings should be void!!!

lets see, wasn't this voted on back in January? What is taking so long to get the swag out there? Where are the life time tags?

I just figured I'd be like every other jake leg you have playing your minis, I'll just wait till I hit an ace, then become a member. Could save 3-4 years of dues. Since there is obviously no penalty for not being a member and now no advantage for being one, then what's the point?

TDSA membership packages have been available for a month. The hold-up was due to Innova. The packs consist of a TDSA disc, a tag, and a mini plus a list of other benifits provided by "The Wayne'ster" that were previously available.

Cost is $20, $15 for "Lifers".

Lifer tags are $80 but I haven't seen any so I'm going to get Evan to make me one.

You should get your name off that "Owasso Band Camp" deal and put Penny's name on as he IS a current member and worthy of TDSA website advertising.

Your deal isn't the only one though and that's why I'm here to bring it out in the open.

IMO "Freeloaders" like you should be paying interest or a late fee. And don't be showing up at any meetings asking for TDSA minis or handouts until you pony up and get current.

I haven't asked the TDSA for anything other than a date that was open.

Freeloaders like me?????????? How about 90% of the people playing at your courses or any of your events? I'm no more a free loader than they are. On top of that I offer players a sanctioned event. Your Mountain party only contributes to the non-member problem.

Sorry but I'm a firm believer that non-members should have to pay a $1 extra for every TDSA event. There is your real advantage to being a member. I don't need the dx disc, the mini or the tag. But I can tell you, If I had to pay $1 more for each mini I played, then I would sign up in a heart beat. As would many others around town.
This would increase revenues more than any swag pack. 1st. you get all the extra dollars form those that only want to play. The extra $1 will not deter them. 2nd. you gain a member for every player that wants to avoid the extra buck and sees the advantage of paying the membership fee. You don't have to bribe them with "wait but theres more".

Do me a favor, look up players that play multiple events on the mountain, how many are club members? Treat should do the same thing. As for the lifetime memberships? They should be done away with, unless awarded by the club for lifetime comittment. You shouldn't be able to buy one. Those current lifetimers ccould be grandfathered in. All of you that bought one do more harm to the club monetarily, than the ones that buy yearly. Even the ones that buy every other year will contribute more over time.

Does the TDSA not advertise your minis and events?

How much money from your "sanctioned event" gets kicked back into your course and since when have any of your "sanctioned" events ever kicked back more cash into your course than one at Chandler and all the "non-members" attending.

This might be a good idea but then again it might lead to a non-member rebellion and they will start scheduling and running their own separate minis outside the TDSA umbrella like you are currently doing. Maybe you should experiment with this idea at Centennial?

To me this is not so much about "Lifers" or getting new membership because membership is not a big draw of cash into the club. Most of the current members now are actually "Lifers" anyway. My gripe here with you is if you're going to ask for open dates to schedule your event or someone elses then you should at least be a CURRENT member.

Fork over the $20 buddy and I promise I'll go away.
