Workday this Saturday, meet at 8:30 in the parking lot, look for my truck and trailer....we will be doing many projects so bring cleaning tools, drills, brush clearing tools. Also don't hesitate to get on the waitlist, there have already been a few to get in and though the list is long, I know there could be more. Be ready to pay if your name gets called to confirm your spot. Hope to see a big crew on Saturdsy. All play and no work makes for a ugly course.........

We've got some CFR Champion Katanas available now. Every disc is a sponsorship that goes right into payout. See what's available on the web site...
http://www.kinstondiscgolf.com/kings...ngsv_disc.html Info on how to get yours is there, too. |

Hi everyone, thanks for signing up. We're really excited about next weekend. We're filling some spots that have come open, and really appreciate the quick responses on that.
If you happen to know that you cannot play the King's Cup V, it will be helpful to let us know in advance as a courtesy to players on the wait list, and so we can solidify the field. We'll post updates as soon as we have them. Please let us know if there is anything you need, directions, local info, etc., to help you have a great time here at the King's Cup! aloha ![]() Christian Smith |

Please be prepared to pay if you are on the waitlist. If you get a call, you must be ready to pay or we will have to go to the next player. Please purchase a Katana and support the tournamnet, see link above for details. There is a lot of activity at the course and we will try to have everything in postition by this Saturday. If you are available, we are having a workday Saturday starting at 8:30 and any help is appreciated. Come out and work a little and then throw a practice round. We are looking forward to having you and we hope this year to give you our best tournament yet. Please PM if you have any questions.

Every King's Cup V player will get 1 free "Flex" ticket to a Kinston Indians home game at Grainger Stadium. You trade it in for a general admission ticket when you go, or call ahead to reserve your ticket for a specific night and then pick it up at will-call (good plan if it's a weekend).
So you can go to a game on King's Cup weekend -- the K-Tribe is playing Fredericksburg at 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights, May 14-15, and at 2pm on Sunday afternoon (something for your significant other non-player to enjoy?). Or you can come back to Kinston for a game any time this season. If you want your ticket for the Friday night game, you can get it from me at Barnet Park, 5:30pm that day, at King's Cup warm-up doubles (please let me know in advance). Thank you, Kinston Indians! aloha, Christian christian@kinstondiscgolf.com Last edited by kdgaAloha; May 07 2010 at 12:42 PM. |

Please remember to support the tournament and eat lunch at the park both days. I can't officially drop names but I can say we are having a great chicken sandwhich on Saturday and locally popular BBQ sandwhich on Sunday. We will include chips, cookies, and drinks in a combo package for $5.
New baskets have arrived and will likely be in this afternoon after 4:30. Mandatory players meeting at 9:30 on Saturday....don't forget! Be sure to sign in to lock your spot before you do anything else the day of the event. |

Aloha and happy Friday! We have a spot open, and are seeking Stew Steward because he is first on the wait list. Second on list is Mike Hoffman. We'll be trying to confirm this spot asap. Thanks :-)
And remember Random Draw Doubles today at Barnet Park, warm up for King's Cup, 5:30pm sign-up. Find Joey Hughes and Austin Sult. I'll be there if you want your Kinston Indians Flex Ticket for tonight's game. |

Thanks to all the players for coming to Kinston to play, thanks for supporting the King's Cup V, and thank you for all the kind words. You know Joe worked his heart out on this. Thank you Joe Noble for 5 years of the King's Cup! Aloha

Well said Christian, I couldn't agree more. The amount of work that Joe & KDGA puts in every year is so apparent at each year's King's Cup. Not only on the course but on the amount of sponsors and volunteers helping. Top class event always!!

Another thumbs up! The tournament was very well organized. I counted over 4 spotters during each round which was great! Thanks for the water coolers and especially the cookies that were on hole 9 going into the last round. They were the best! Can't wait for next year!

I would have posted this sooner, but it took a little while to resurrect the account.
I want to thank Joe, Christian, Joel, and all the rest of an amazing Kinston crew that never fails to bring out a top-shelf event every year. This course has become what it was intended to be, but not without all of the hard work from that disc golf family. Every disc golfer in or out of this area, who is lucky enough to enjoy this course, owes you all so much for your efforts. Due to the fact that I have little experience with acceptance speeches, I feel like I should address a glaring omission from Sunday. I never rightfully acknowledged the guys that I was fortunate enough to play with all weekend. Without guys like them, there would be no point to play the game. I especially want thank Joe Noble, for those extremely kind and humbling words. And Schweb; It's always a pleasure to golf with you. I've been looking up to you for a long time, not only on the leader board. Awesome battle, for a while I definitely felt a bit like a fish, getting slowly reeled in... I look forward to some Farm Livin'

Thanks for all of the kind words from everyone. Joel has posted some photos from the tournament at the kinstondiscgolf.com. Also, if you have not e-mailed your comments from the tournament......course, event, sponsors, T.D., volunteers, etc. ...please send those to noble@kinstondiscgolf.com. our commnets will be saved and shared with our sponsors and other supporters of disc golf.
