I have another OB question but is has to do with today on the winter course. We initially played a triple mando on hole 9, but the last 2 weeks people on my card(when the horizontal limb was missed) said it was only a double(left and right), I didn't know it had changed? Has it? Doesn't really matter that much since this is the last week, but just curious.

double mando with the rule of no thumbers or hyzers. you just have to pass inside the orange paint on both tress but not under the limb if you miss either mando you get 1M drop by the closest mando tree you missed or at least that is how I have played it all year on our card.

yes fajitas are coming today, unsure of what format tonight, it will most likely be awhile until we play singles, if we have the right count to do 3somes let's do that, if not let's play singles

Yes - tripples sounds like fun (unless we're not divisable by 3, then singles sounds great!).

Agreed Chris - some people don't know/play by the right rules/OB (Sunday or Wednesday) - 2 meter rule always in effect (all Double R events), shule line on C/B (including painted rock circle) OB, double mando on 9 (both directions), shule line on 17, painted lake on 4 & line to road all also OB on Big Course. Painted water in creeks was for TxStProDubs only (unfortunately).

Made a pot of beans last night during the cabinet meeting - not huge, but big - could use mexican rice, sour cream, guac, salsa, torts, cheeze, & chips - not to mention plates & silverware. I'll bring grille tools & cutting board, beans & meat when I come & hope to feel well enought o play a few holes.

Even if it is not divisable by three, if there are two left over just stick Emac with somebody and he'll cash anyway!

Its a sad day my friends.....we have to say goodbye to the winter course for another year................Happy days are here again.....its back to the BIG course next week hole #1......sign up by 4:45 and try and tee before 5pm.....if we finish with time left over, we will move it back to 4:50 sign up and 5pm tee...................now onto scores from last nite
Steve-O/Eric M C Ware/Paul W 45 split 42.00
Bryan/Vinnie ET/Webster 46 split 26.00
Martin/Zack 47 split 10.00
.................................................. .................................................. ...................
Thanks to alot of people last nite for the food and great times.....to many of you to list, but you know who you are.....The club supplied the meat (fajitas mixed) and many others brought sides....thanks again so much, it was a great ending to the winter year..
Powling was a good as it gets on the last nite...........for the life of me I don't really know who won what game, but lord was it fun....Steve-O took it in the shorts early, but when all was said and done, he was back on top and the profit was in the 12.00-15.00 range.....so remember next year, if you want to powl, bring some extra cash, so you can watch a pro work his craft on side bets......did not hear to many 3-on the turkey last nite.....but plenty of side action regardless.........thanks again so much for a wonderful send off to the winter course.....man that was fun!!
Don't forget, next week hole #1 is the place to be if you want to hang with the Double R.
Again, sign up by 4:45 and tee before 5pm next wednesday...............Thanks to Steve-O with helping out with payout.....and please please try and add your score cards right, several people last nite added their cards wrong, and that could end up being a penelty which might cause a good score to not cash.........take your time and add them right....also, par on the big course is 63.........just FYI.......Well, until I run into you guys and gals on a course this weekend, or not until next wedesday, keep it in the fairway and bang some chains..........................Later!!!

Sorry Keith - we can't do 5:00 start next week. Even with Dubs & the time change, the big course is a 3 hour tour - dark way before 7:00 right now & that means 8 after time change. Have to start next week @ 4:30 & move back from there.

well from the last few years we always start at 5:00 when time changes and we play 18 holes until we start to have more daylight then we move it to 21 holes..... just posting from past years experience. just trying to attract more players with a later tee time.. but I can make either time..

remember that the time change extended back last year compared to years past---starting almost a month earlier---hence the getting dark earlier

I would say NOBODY!!! One thing I forgot from the re-cap was how nice it was to see our brother Larry Kenney aka Lil'bigarm out at the course...........and he even won a CTP.......Joe Major (of Jeff & Joe fame) won the other, and you can thank Martin for taking it for you..............1-Quart of Corona Beer, thanks Joe some of us enjoyed it........and we saved you a DWI in the process...........Now I'm done!!!

I won't be there in time to do sign-up but will handle payout for you Keith. We'll only play the original 18 for a few weeks until we see how the time goes. It would be great if we could switch to the 21 on the 31st. 1st organized mini with all concrete on 21 holes should be the 31st. I need your help on the morning of the 27th if your in town club memebers to pour A and B hole.

if it takes 3 hours to play the big course and we are starting at 4:30 I would think we have plenty of time to play all 21. It is not dark until 7:50 which means we have 3hrs and 20 mins. just IMO but lets see how the first night goes then maybe make adjustment....I like playing a,b,and c holes.. and what format did the cabinet vote on? is it straight random ?

May you have 21 hole scorecards????????????????

Can ya'll look around & bring me 3 18inch pieces of small chain with links that can be pried open with a screw drivers & pinched shut with plyers so we can put our stamped copper sails on our trees @ hole 5 for our lost dragons today? I'll be running late with Woody Dog & could get it out of Keith's truck if you pull some together for me.

Thanx!

Quote "May do you have 21 hole score cards" No I do not, can you send me some via e-mail?? Cut-off 4:20 tee 4:30 and what ever card I draw is hole #1 start, due to handling sign-up........If its not an ace, then Ace's can start at #18, since we only have four options from #1 area.............1/2 the group will be driving..........so tonight, the cut-off will be 4:20 period......no pulling up late today..........

26 players no aces. Back on the big course all 21 holes, playing short c hole.

Vinnie/Harrell C-dub/Blake-58 split $42
Zach/Matty-59 $14
Tony P./John D Nix/??-62 split $22

Next week we start at 5 sharp. If you are not paid and there when we draw your out. We won't be waiting for you. We will be playing all the marked OB until it's gone, made it very challenging. We plan on playing 3somes at least once a month, and we won't know when that will be until we have the right count.
