Yes. It's a wizard/BB Aviar size bead.

The V.P. has a nice big beefy bead. It is great into the wind and off the tee. For approaches, it is not conducive to soft touch shots.

The Summit has a microbead with the same comfortable big shouldered wing. It is a finesse disc or a nice anny approach disc. It does not do well with too much power.

Both of these are available in the X-Link and the X-Link Firm materials.

The Ridge's bead is right down the middle of these two. The Ridge also flies right down the middle of these two and will hold practically any line it is put on. My guess is that for putting, the Ridge will be our best seller. But who knows, I also thought that Spinal Tap could have made that cover a touch more black.

I dunno. The more I use the Summit, the more I think it will be my everyday putter. I think Ill end up beating up this Ridge enough Ill use it for the Summit-type of approach shots.

There are currently no plans for this type of shoe although tests are being conducted to determine how the soles wear and where pressure is applied. It is amazing how tough disc golf is on shoes.

Yes and my vision is to study a few disc golfers tee'ing off on a clear or glass teepad ( a few diff styles) while we observe there tread stress's from under neath to ge a better idea of the tread and grip needed for disc golf. I believe / envision some type of circular tread motion for a disc golf driving shoe, a pivot circle motion of tread??? that still has tread for walking / hiking...etc. I believe it would prolong the tread disc golf shoe life and help on knees for driving??? just my dreamy head coming up with an idea. But i think it could work . I do understand the market is not huge but it is growing??? I lovbe vibram and always have and will wear vibram sole merrell shoes....

even extended side walls for your driving shoe would be great, like soccer has added pad for kicking side, disc golf can have added pad for driving side of shoe where we drag sole and foot....? Have any opening for a design tech in your company??? lol
I am very passionate about seeing a truley good strong (vibram) made disc golf shoe coming to fruition...not a sandle...

We are investigating discs that go farther down the fairway. The Ridge will be released in the next month or so (see our ad in Disc Golfer magazine for an exact release date). Once this disc is available, our initial putter line will be complete and we will start looking down the fairway.

The "new" rubber vomit is quite a bit less soft & floppy than the pre-proto X-Link Soft Eco (Summit) version, but still extremely grippy & pliable.

Proto A disc was Blue it was my test to see if it would work.

I've seen many dyes go awandering on star and pro, but that could also be a dye specific thing. I'd be interested in seeing these Vibram dyed discs in 6 months or so.

We have created a process where we can mix colors (these are not dyed, the colors are in there through and through) and make some crazy awesome looking stuff. It takes some extra time in the molding process and we are trying to figure out a way to do it and make it cost effective. Those are pretty sweet I will bring those dyes with me to the Vibram as they are in my bag and make sure to show you how they stand up over time and use.

I should be getting all three molds in X Link Firm material. I'll definitely give them a fair shake. I've read through the forum and everyone seems to love how hard they are to beat in, their consistency and durability. I'm looking for durability and something that will stop on a dime.
Look forward to trying these out and finally getting a mini to throw around too.

What exact changes were made from the prototypes that people on here tested, to the one's that are out in disc golf stores now?

from what I can tell nothing really maybe little bit of texture in the VPs. I've heard the summit production run is a bit more stable then the protos. STEVE? The Ridge is the same I have a proto and a couple of production runs and they fly the same. The black 1st run ridge I have feels a bit differnt than the green ones i have black seems a bit slicker but same flight.
