In reference to the shark topic that was posted earlier. I have three of those and on one of them the sticker from innova says CE Shark. So now it should be reference Champion Candy Shark, correct?

We called all Champion plastic CE in those days. It is the collectors who have apparently differentiated it. We also had gummy CE.

Depending on who you are shopping with, Gummy CE can get quite expensive. Dave, do you know the ration numbers for gummy discs? I was told once it was like 1 vs. every 250 discs?

Really? I need to have an eBay sale. I have dozens of gummy CE Leopards, Valks, & Teebirds (and one Firebird that I know of). I thought the stiff CE was much more sought-after, so I've just been storing the gummy stuff.

Even modern Champion gummy carries premiums online it seems. Not much difference between them and most of the latest QMS' Ive seen, but whatever.

I am not sure what the ratio is of gummy to regular, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were 1:250 or more.

We will run Champion PDs very soon for a test run. If they are satisfactory, we will make them available here in the US. None of the other models are scheduled yet.

Dave, just wanted to say the Pro Katana is the bomb! The only Innova distance driver I've had in my bag for the last few yrs has been the Champion Starfire-X, but I went out and tested my Pro Katana's today and was hitting distances of 400+ft without even warming up and stretching. I average 350-375ft, and on the really good days was able to hit 390-400, but those were few and far between. I feel so much more confident with the Katana in my hand to reach the super long hole we have in BG, such as the ones at White Park and Phil Moore Park. The Katana truly is a sick disc!

Hey Dave,
I'm sure this has been asked a million timed before. It's about the Proto KC LE Rocs that came out after the Proto KC Rainbow stamped Rocs. I always assumed the 'LE' stood for Limited Edition. Is that the case? |

Hey Dave just found this disc that has a bar stamp and says THE CHOICE OF CHAMPIONS FOR DISC GOLF on bottom 174 T. Is this a 1st run CE Teebird?

Sorry, both of the preceding questions need to be answered by collectors. I really can't put stamps to discs. Ninety nine per cent of the discs I see are blank.

Hi Dave, was wondering with all the questions you get about everything disc has Innova been keeping track of runs, stamps, material to help you answer those questions and for collectors knowing what they have. example i'd like to see is lets say 12x black aviars ,rocs ect. The black aviars had at least two runs while the black roc had one i believe. It'd be nice to differentiate between the runs somehow since disc plastic seems to be a fickle thing at times and different runs produce a better or different flying disc.

Plastic is definitely fickle. All of the plastic we have used over the years has either changed, evolved, or is no longer available. Most of the manufacturers have changed, merged with other manufacturers, or are out of business. We have to deal with that reality as best we can.

When Cam switched to Discraft I bought his remaining inventory which consisted of about 50 of the "CT" CE Teebirds. I also bought a case or other CE plastic from him including about 100 1st run CE Teebirds and 1st run CE Eagles. If you go way back into the traders row thread you will find the "fire" sale I had |

There is the Choice of Champions Rainbow stamped and an older Innova barstamp version, whihc has no other writing. Those are the hard ones to find. I was told one was a KC proto the other a Rancho Proto, but Ive heard lots of different stories. Dave may be able to elaborate on that... Both are stiff and fickle. I have to store them in my house, the shop gets too cold in the winter and they will break. I found that out with a KC 8x that had a triple J-Bird stamp. It was a pretty crappy day after that.
