Since I'm burning on fools...It just keeps gettin better...and Jerry felt like they had a chance to win it all. How do Brett's 40 year old balls feel on your chin now? You know your names no need to get personal

Its funny how Cowboys haters like to switch around and have other "favorite teams" when their own couldn't cut it. At least the 'Boys made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. What happened to the redskins? oh yeah they were 4-12 this season. When it came to Dallas vs Washington, the Cowboy's balls were clearly on the Redskin's chins. lol

Met with the parks guys today. On the docket was the proposal for laying down some concrete on the front 9 of the south course and maintenance on the reg course.

South Course
We will not be doing the concrete t-boxes, not now or ever. This course was intended for a one-time use (Outlaws) and the parks dept. has been willing to work with us on other events, but longterm this course will not be receiving any upgrades or improvements. Within 10 years the area used for the back 9 will become soccer fields. They want us to limit our events on that course to no more than 4 tournaments a year.

Regular course
The parks dept has agreed to build 3 sided retaining walls around the problem t-boxes that continue to get dirt washed into them if they cannot successfully grade the area around them. This would include 3, 8,13 and 18. Some of those just need minor work. They have also agreed to power wash the t-boxes on a regular basis in line with our tournaments. This will remove the slickness when there is the smallest amount of moisture on them, which is sometimes dangerous. The will use heavy duty concrete cleaner for this. We have the approval to lay concrete on A hole and B hole at the clubs expense. Once this process is reviewed by there engineers they will give us the OK and we can go to work. Timeline will be within 45 days. After that we will get the course re-numbered 1-21. They want us to move up A hole t-box and get it out of the way of the cross country track that goes around that corner. We will be moving the t-box back about 30ft before the pour to keep the integrity of the hole and not make just another birdy hole.

On a sidenote they asked if we would be interested in taking on some learning events that they could publish to the public. This would consist of a set schedule of 5-6 classes for teaching and educating the people about disc golf. We have the resources in the club to do so and they will be in contact with us once they get there proposal together.

No worries...it's what el presidente's do. I'll keep you guys in the loop, they will grade them down like before we'll just have to form them up and pour the concrete. So out of this meeting 2 committees will be formed. The work crew committee and the public relations committee. Jamie, I would love for you to head it up the p.r. committee with a few others when the time gets near. Work crew committee needs to be headed up by somebody with a concrete mixer. These committees will exist of at least 1 cabinet member so we will keep you all in the loop.

Default Message from Wilco

Below is link to rain out page. Someone called but did not leave a call back # to follow up on. They are going to old web page, which shows December info. If you can send a note out to players, we do update page every day…so if they are getting old stuff they need to reenter web info to get to new site.

Also, the city is asking for anybody who is wanting to post things on the message kios at the park they need to contact them FIRST.

www.wilco.org
is an easy one to click on too…but you have to go to Parks & Rec and then to rain out info.

Wrong. It wasn't the December page. There last update on Sunday was for Feb. 17. Don't let them hogwash you C-dub. I didn't follow a link I went straight to there site. Ended up calling 4 people. 2 phones were disconnected and one was a answereing machine. Finally one guy called me back when we were on our way to Rivery, which of course is way to late.

Shawn at Wanna Play is running a random doubles mini at Wilco every Friday morning. It's free and there are CTP prizes. Won an Innova hat last week.

Friday morning at 9:00? We'll, a lot of folks are between jobs right now. Just show up if you are off.

The club is an awsome place to be....Thanks to all that made TSPD a hit.
Many pitched in but the CoffeEs took the horns (Laura I hope you feel better) Ware for sharing his passion for OB, Steve O for being the right hand and the many folks that marked, donated, and spent time. We are blessed to have so many folks willing to pitch in. And for the ones that think running the event is to much work ...well you are right, but this club has got it down and with some coordination, anyone of us could take the horns. So next year lets do this thing BIG.
