I was planning on taking the Katana out this weekend for a tourney and wanted to make sure they were legal for PDGA play?

The mere fact that the specs have been approved does not make the protos legal for PDGA play. As a TD, I'm obligated to enforce based on what is on the list. It is not yet on the list.

Once it's on the list you can use it. It was approved 10/18/09

What makes you say it's not on the list?

The Approved disc PDF file was temporarily not online for downloading earlier today (is now) but the XL file was available with the Katana on it.
