Riverside tonight!!!!!!!!

Bunch of new plastic including the newest, out less than a week, Champ Destroyers and Champ XCalibers.

Riverside usually dries pretty quick so come on out..

Flex starts available by 5:15 or so with cut-offs after 6:00. The schedule says 6:15 but try to make it earlier.

Everybody gets a free mully.

Ace pot should be around $130..

Come early for the best parking..

Bougher told me there was a problem with the CTP last night after I left. The way I heard it was that an Am that had played and marked the CTP before the Pro master group played the hole, came in later and said that his was closer than the one marked by Michael Barr. PURE BS!!!!!

First off had his been closer we wouldn't have moved it!! It wasn't even close, Barr's beat the previous Am's CTP by several feet. Barr's shot was about a foot and a half from the pole. Again I say, we don't change CTP unless it is clear cut that it has been beaten.
You are talking about a PRO master group with over 30 years of playing experience combined. For the Am to even suggest his was closer is CRAP! By making that statement he is calling me and the rest of our group liars. WHO is calling me a liar????????????????????

I also find it hard to beleive that the TD, split the CTP between the AM and the Pro master. Is this true????
How can a CTP be split, unless they both aced the hole?
Thats right.....it can't.

Who was on the Am card that questioned the CTP? I can attest that the pro group was Myself, Dan Bougher, Micheal Barr and John Belty. I wished I had stuck around, just so I could tell the Am he was full of shiiiet!!!!

I wasn't there when all of this went down, Mr. Treat can you elaborate on this?

On the ctp hole (9) belty hit and skipped out of the basket and we made a lot of noise...and i'm sure that more than one person besides our group saw mike move the flag from about 15'-20' to within 2' of the basket...the flag was almost under the edge of the basket...and someone moving the flag after someone had marked it is bs...mike marked off the name and put his name on the marker and it did not move during the round until it was taken to mike treat...

The fact that they came back and said their's was closer, makes the implication that our card was lying or even worse that we cheated. You know how I am about the rules of play..... I want to know who is callng me a cheater!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can I preceive this any other way????

Well first of all Pro vs Am should have nothing to do with it when it comes to cheating.

More than likely the guy probably had his buddies on the card saying that his was closer because I wouldn't take just one guy's word for it. That is a problem with flex starts because you could end up with 4 buddies on one card saying anything they wanted to but in this case I would believe Wise's group over the other.

Knowing Wise, Bougher, & Barr,....I know those guys wouldn't be cheating on a CTP so I would be questioning it and wouldn't give half to the other guy.

I did split a Chandler CTP last week though because Johnny Thompson picked up the flag before the final card came in. The two guys in question understood what happened and I gave them a choice to either split or throw off. They had no problem with that.

This thing at Riverside is different though.

Wow, Furdog. I think you should preface each post with a "serious" or "not serious" label! It's nice to read something that actually makes sense and isn't just talking out of your poo hole!

Well Ethyl, I told you not to look but it was too late,.....you've done been streaked!!!

It's nice to see that you've finally accepted cash after all those years of doing it for free.

Just kidding!!!!! .....Don't be hating on me now.

I'm sure by "Poo Hole" you were talking about Winnie the Pooh.

Well according to Wise, that happens when you get married but you along with almost everyone else can still stomp my butt.

I know that is not much consolation though.

I don't consider throwing plastic to win plastic as getting "paid".

Winning a 20 to 1 Duff Casino CTP or a big ace pot is "Less work / Big Reward".

I had 1st place and my name in the paper at Centennial the other night until you did your rain dance and took it away from me.

We're going to have to watch them, they can't be trusted now. We'll have to send out a marshall with your card.

Sorry to BOMB your thread this morning Mike.

Sorry I left the results at home so Andrew will post them in a bit.

The good stuff first. We had 39 players which was a very good turnout.

Coda Hatfield shot an amazing 17 down. He only missed #16 and apparently he almost made that one. New course record, the previous was he and Adam Hunt at -15.

Joel Woody aced #5. The ace pot was $136.00 so I rounded up to $140.00.

Now for the controversy. The person who made stated the CTP flag had been moved was the guy you met last night Dave, Derrick Moore. EVERYONE on his card said he was a hands width from the pole.

I never thought people, you, would consider this a moral issue. I had a decision to make and I am always willing to make those.

My take was that a casual had moved the flag 25 feet or so out. Now come on, 25 feet certainly isn't a hands width from the pole. Your card played the hole Barr was very close, maybe a foot and a 1/2 based on when I saw it, so your group listed his name and placed the flag at his position.

So, here I have one card, including Derrick, Matt Shipley and others saying for sure he was right by the pole. I have your card including Barr saying no it was way out so you all moved it.

I feel 100% certain some casual moved the flag after Derrick threw. How else could it be so far from the pole. We aren't talking a couple of feet discrepancy, were talking 20 + feet.

So, I split it, $15.00 to each. The two guys actually involved seemed very content with my decision.

So there you have it. No one is accusing the Pro Masters of anything and neither should they accuse the Advanced card of anything.

I used to place a tape measure on top of the basket but they were stolen every week.

Since I usually use hole 8 and 9 now I will start placing the tape back on top again..

Results soon...

Sounds reasonable. I hope you can understand the frustration. We DON"T move a CTP unless it has been beaten. Since those CTPS are right by your area, may be worth watching in the future. Maybe you shold use hole 8 since it is right in front of you.

Good round by CODA and good for Woody on the ace but he should have had to split it 3 ways. Belty went in and out of a basket and caged another one on top of the basket rim.

Thanks Mike!

When Dan called me last night he was pretty worked up about it and couldn't remember who was on the Am card. All I knew was that Mike beat what was there and we re-marked it. Sorry for the drama but it gave the implication that someone wasn't telling the truth. I take that pretty seriously. You know I'm a rules dick. or just a dick, either way is fine with me

I had something like that happen at Owasso but it wasn't a casual, an older lady (walker) took the flag and when the next group told her it was for the golfers, she stated it was hers, she found it and now its hers and she is keeping it. So all I could do was pay the last person that had it marked.

Thanks for running the mini and I still owe you $32 for the mini I ran out there and I have $15 from Bryan Hinds for any admin to collect.

Riverside has had its moments. I have had my whole bag and two sleeves of discs stolen out there. I have witnessed WWF Konckdown between two Masters aged players. Dumped my bag in the middle of Riverside from the back of my truck pulling out. The funny thing about that one is, a truck stopped and grabbed my bag but one of the golfers said he saved my towel. Gee thanks buddy! Got my bag and cell phone back later that night.
Was third on a card and leading, then had to throw with the first two players aceing the same hole before I threw.

Dave King threw his whole bag in the River, then figured out it would have been better to take his wallet and keys out of the bag first.

Bougher threw a shot that went in the top knot hole of the tree on new hole 4 and is still there.

Many good times out there.

That ain't going to happen. No old guy repeat this year. Due to Presidential order you guys are going to have to split up and share the wealth.

I paid him each time before he threw the next hole. I came close twice but didn't ring it up like he did.

One other good time out there........ I remember Andrew Treat getting shut in his own trunk. Mitchell just rolled him up in a ball, pushed him in and closed it.

Started on hole 1 with a birdie, then proceeded to have a car turning left on Riverside block my skip shot, , at least I clipped him pretty good, circle 5. Next hole tree, tree, shank, 5. Then by hole 7, I was back to even and shanked every drive there after and managed to par the next 10 holes and would have made it 11 but didn't putt out. Sawed off every drive and pulled every putt.
I think I'm ready for the Adv Grand Masters. At least I didn't let Shanna get me. Thats getting harder to do.

We played dubs at McClure and she got Bill Pennington as her partner.
Her drive on 1, her birdie on 2, her birde on 4, she carried him for the front 9.

Well it looks more like you got "Donkey'ed" by Dan Bougher so your score is understandable.

Perhaps you should give up being a player and just be a TD instead.

What is up with that?

I thought you said there was no crime in Owasso?

I'm going to come up there next week and put a flag on every hole.
