Default Lollypop summit so sweet

The summit got Kernan singing during the round,

Lollypop, lollypop oh lolly lollypop...

Sweeter than candy on a stick
Huckleberry cherry, a lime
If you had a choice she'd be your pick
But Lollipop is MINE!
...
Like the way she thrills me, tell you why
It's like lightning from the sky
She doesn't kiss me till I can keep straight
Gee my Lollypop is great

Vegan Ray Parrish

Don't get too comfortable with that
candy red sweetheart.
After the test drive, you must pay the piper.

Prior to league tonight, we played catch with
the summit from 100-175 feet.
Held whatever line and never skipped.
Forehand, it will turnover or hyzer just flick it!

I like the plastic, let one sit on my South Louisiana
dashboard for 4 hours, got hot but kept same flex
as the "control" disc.

Got mine in yesterday. Feel the same as the other 2 I got earlier. I love the way the smell of rubber fills the room when I opened the box. I will get to toss them this weekend. Love the RED

My initial take...

I love this plastic!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't like this mold.

But man, I love this plastic...

The grip and firmness are magical.

As they say...

Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner!

What didn't you like? The mold, like the feel in the hand or the way the mold flies?

Feel in the hand... To be honest didn't even throw... I would start my routine for my throwing motion and I just couldn't get comfortable with the "handle" in my hand...

The shape just felt so foriegn to me... so I know I am not being fair to them since I didn't throw them.

But sometimes there are somethings you just don't like... so I short circuited the whole process. I feel bad about that, but I don't like what I don't like.

That said, I love the plastic - a VP in this plastic I would very much want to throw.

A full line of discs in this plastic, the red stuff, I very much want to throw...

I hear ya about the feel. I haven't thrown a shallow putter in years. That said, I'm getting the hang of them and really enjoying the flight. They will probably be out once I get a VP broken in. I have a beat one coming my way in trade and one of my original ones is finally starting to change a bit.

Looks like I'll be carrying both the VP (floppy rubber) and the Summit (X-Link firm) in my bag for the foreseeable future. Tested the Summit extensively all last week in western NC & quite like it for point-and-shoot approaches (as long as it's dry), as it holds pretty much any line very gracefully all the way to the ground. A little slippery when caught in a tornado-ish downpour, but what isn't, I suppose. Firm plastic just doesn't work for putting for me, but I'm sure there will be those who love the easy release & predictable flight of this disc for that purpose. My kingdom for a floppy rubber version . . .

The V.P. will be going on sale on the 14th.

The Summit is still in the testing phase and we haven't done a complete verification run to ensure that we can hit weights with minimal rejects yet. Proto Summits will be in the player packs and there will be a few dozen available at the event.

this may have been brought up before but do all of vibram's discs have the rubber yellow vibram symbol in the middle on the top? how does this affect the flight and are they PDGA approved even though they have the raised surface?

I can't be 100% sure that the logo doesn't effect the flight because I've never thrown one without a logo. That said, I haven't seen any problems with any of mine over the last 6 months. I use them as my putter, approach, and overstable mid. Zero issues.

no problems with it here either. i also have been putting and approaching with my vp(B) since they were handed out. i drive more with the summit and it has not been affected by the logo either. nice understable flight to balance the other. and still "zero issues"

I guess I have one problem, THEY DON'T GET FLIPPY! I got a year old one from one of the very first tests and its beat in, but its just straight with a smaller fade. It's just about like my first proto VP(A) that had been my only thrower. Maybe it will in the next year.

the summit will turn over! beautifully! actually pretty hard sometimes if you dont put enough hyzer on the disc to begin with it will dive right quick and come back late. ITS GREAT! pm if you are interested in trying a summit.
