Default North town Park walk through

I believe some folks will be meeting at north town park to do a walk through of the first 13-18 holes. if you can make it please stop by and lend a hand.

meet out there around 5o or so its off Howard coming from I-35 then turn left on Harris Ridge and go past all the duplexes pretty close to the end and the park will be on the right side..

Default Need Info from Members

Please e mail me @ coffeydiscgolf@yahoo.com, post here, or PM me if you are interested in viewing the current set up @ Northpark before 3:30 today. Currently I plan to walk the course @ 5pm to see what ya'll have to say regarding the layout, but the 5 of us (cabinet)have seen what's going on, & don't need to walk it right now if no one else has time or interest today.

Default Will the South rule in Round Rock?

Thanx to everyone that showed up to help walk the South Course last night. Long sleeves, pants, & bug spray are the mandated dresscode for all South Course work days. (can you say sarcasm?)

Land was amazing (just like you remember it), we found a few old sleeves, & there are a few holes that just need mowed & they're ready to go. This will be a huge project for the club if our proposal is approved (both using it for Outlaw's & permanent re-installation). We will need your deadication, time, & blood, sweat, & tears (trust me). The course with the most wind & the course with the tightest lines in the same park again? Wow!! Now that will be amazing.

See ya'll tonight. Don't forget bug spray (mmm chiggers) & CTP's. If you've won a CTP, you need to bring one. We had 5 at one point this year & now we might have 1 left. (insert scowl here - I still hate the little icons).

I hate to say it but the passion of a few doesn't always translate to the masses. If you can and want to help out with this project, step up and volunteer. All members have an obligation to this club to assist with these types of projects. Be a part of where you play and call home. I will get the members to understand sooner or later the cabinet isn't going to do it all. The same people doing things all the time is getting old.

Default Little known fact

Donkeys kill more people annually than plane crashes or shark attacks. (So, watch your ***). Now that's funny - I knew there was a reason I kept my eye on you Miller.

FYI everyone. i talked to my friend at williamson county about the trees at wilco. he says they are aware of the problem and are trying to figure out how to deal with it. also don't bring home any sticks and make sure you have no leaves stuck to your shoes or golf towel so you don't start oak wilt in your neighborhood.

Waiting to hear back from the city on the South Course proposal. Hope it works out. It will bring some big events into the park. I'll keep you posted on workdays all you eager beavers that want to help out.

I need some graphic help to layout a few logos (that I already have) for a print job that I need to send for a proof this week. Anyone able to help? Sorry for the short notice, I didn't think I'd be able to pull the money together - so it's pretty last minute. Please e mail me if you can pitch in to make this happen by Fri afternoon. coffeydiscgolf@yahoo.com

Sounds like the parks meeting went pretty well yesterday! Thanx Edman & Ware for handling things. Next steps: set up meeting to walk the South Course with them & see what they have to say. Timing is everything, and 4th of July week isn't the best timing to pitch something to the city parks dept - will let you know what they say in a few weeks.
